This is however not about the box, but about a particular song, The Fire Inside.

Anyone got any clue what the song is about? Obviously, the title is a metaphor but a metaphor for what?? I can't really figure it out.

My guess is that it's a song about running away from who you are but not making it far. About dying a lonely man because that fire inside can't be stopped. About trying to change but not being able to and in the end accepting it...but what I can't tell is this "fire inside" a good thing? A bad thing? What album was this song written for? Great song I must add...never really noticed it until now. Weird...
I think it's a little simpler than that. You are who you are - you can run all you want but you can't change (or escape) what's inside. The lyrics even say:

There will be no forgiveness but I'll never deny the fire inside.

Jon was really into fire inside at one time. River's Run Dry has the line:

Everybody goes with the fire in their eyes

Which says a similar thing (alone the same lines). You go with what's inside you.

Two of my favorites from the box set by the way.
