Default Which Concert?

OK here is the premise:
you win a Bon Jovi concert for yourself, nobody else gets to see it and there is no recording (no boots) so nobody else ever gets to here it but you, you get a choice for the setlist
1. the complete US tracklist of These Days in order
Hey God, Something For The Pain, This Ain't a Love Song, These Days, Lie to Me, Damned, My Guitar Lies Bleeding in My Arms, (It's Hard) Letting You Go, Hearts Breaking Even, Something to Believe In, If That's What It Takes, Diamond Ring

2. you can pick a 12 track greatest hits style setlist

3. you can pick a 12 track rarities setlist but no songs from the USA TD at all.

they are going to play it live for you to enjoy just once and all you get afterward are your memories

Well which do you choose?

I am very curious how this comes out as I think that in general this board hold TD up as the holy grail Should be interesting.

I'd be satisfied with just Dry County for myself

Well I would give anything to hear Bitter Wine, I love that song, and that's not on USA These Days. So, out of rarities and greatest hits, I have no idea. I will post back f I come to a decision.

Great topic Dave!

I went for These Days in it's entirety because I've been to twelve shows and have never heard a single song from the album live. If this actually happened, I'd probably fall over and croak.

TD for me, because that's probably the only way I'll EVER hear any of those songs (unless I manage to get myself to Europe for some shows).

These Days definitely.

To hear Hey God, Damned, Something To Believe In, These Days and My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms would be amazing!

I'd pick rarities.

After thinking about it, rarities for me. Bitter Wine and Good Guys Don't Always Wear White would be amazing.

I am torn myself, as I was typing the original post I was thinking of the 12 songs nobody had ever heard the Jovi's do live to add to my setlist, but then I started comparing it to the TD set and it's not as cut and dried as I originally thought. There are a lot of great unplayed or seldom played Jovi tracks but as a whole I am begining to doubt that 12 of them can stand up to the "all killler no filler" juggernaut of These Days. More thinking to do, glad I am not working today

my best 12 rarities:
edge of a broken heart
borderline
fields of fire
love is war
lets make it baby
judgement day
fear
knockin on heavens door
lonely at the top
breathe
all along the watchtower
i want you

Close runner ups:
social disease
cadillac man
like a rollin stone
bridge over troubled water
good guys don't always wear white

Also considered:
heart of america
gonna take you higher
99 in the shade
shooting star
never say die
the answer
levon
the sole truth
blame it on the love of rock and roll
if I was your mother
freebird
crazy
waltzing matilda
house of the rising sun
mrs robinson
try a little tenderness
respect
lifes too short for days like these
hush
signed sealed delivered
lean on me
here comes the sun
bitter wine
fighter for love
walking the dog
memphis lives in me
sylvia's mother

This was tough.

Firstly yeah you can rule out greatest hits, heard it all 19 times before.
But i was torn between TD and rarities. A full TD is amazing and the pull from This Ain't A Love Song alone was huge....
But i went for rarities....

Now i am trying to decide on the 12
