Default The Future of Bon Jovi as said by Jon

Jon spoke about the future of the band at the Vegas gig. Here is pretty much the rundown of what he said.

- He said that he took them into the last tour before they were ready.

- Pretty much that there was no plans to do anything with the band in 2014 .

- He felt the last tour took it's toll on all of them and for the first time his family expressed they were impacted by him being gone.

- He said if they were done he was happy they went out on top. It felt as if in this moment he was at peace if things ended.

- He hasn't been writing but said that's normal after a tour . You need down time and maybe in a few months he would have that desire to pick up the guitar and start writing .

He spoke kindly and fondly about Dave, Tico and Richie.

Thanks for the post, which there were video (I know not supposed to record).

I do believe Jon became about the $ but it made them all very rich and able to do all the "other" things. I must admit he has come across as much more classy in this whole fiasco.
There was a time (love Richie's solo albums) that I wanted him back with the band of brothers where he seemed to belong so bad - but I've lost that. I didn't think his little hip twist at the first sidewave - clearly making fun of Jon had any class to it, he waited so long to address the fans other than poor P/R "leaks". He called PhilX "adequate". Never thought he was RS but that seemed low too. Jon is behaving more like a grown man. Glad he's at peace if it is over -

It's quite sad to read some of that but at least he is being honest with himself.
I also think he has handled himself a lot more maturely than Richie who has acted like a teenager who hasn't been able to have his own way.

So he said all these things? Expect a new album and tour in 2014! He is a liar and always was (even himself admit that).

Not this time I don't think.
It sounds like the last tour has probably taken it's toll and he probably needs a complete break from the music 'business'.

I believe that as well. He'll continue with some corporate and charity gigs here and there but I doubt we see anything band related.

You mean at all or just in 2014? I think it is a good move to take some time off. Jon's youngest sons are still quite young and I think it is good for him and his family that he is home. Maybe some time off will bring up some fresh ideas and good music.
I do think they still have a few years left if Richie manages to get out of his mid-life crisis.

Agreed. I meant for just 2014. I think once they have downtime and issues are worked out they will be back. I'd say for one more tour.

I do genuinely think that is it for the band now. And in a way I'm quite glad because the longer this whole cog wheel of a process goes on the more unhappy the band members will get. The band lost it's soul a long time ago and we have seldom seen it in years. I love and will forever love this band. It's helped me through some shit times. But they don't inspire me anymore. They don't reach out because the role models have let themselves down. They no longer are a band to look up to. It's sad, but now is the right time to end it. Don't do a last tour. Because Richie will never agree to it and we will all get shat on again
