Did I jump up and sing? no, I sat back and didn't acknowledge that I was a fan, cool people don't like anything you see, it's all part of the package. But I saw a few people dancing to the song and gave them a knowing look. I could tell it made their night.
My point is, I'm really great but I'm not above being called a fan, as long as it's all internalised and nobody knows.

Jesus, either I missed the irony of your post or you care way too much about what other people think of you. If a song of my favorite band comes up in a bar, of course I'll at least smile and have a good time, no matter if it's cool or not. Most of the stuff people tend to find cool these days is total junk anyway, so why even bother?
