Its been 30 years. If its over then so be it. I remember being 15 and devastated when I read in Kerrang in 1990' that they had split.
Luckily they sorted it out and we got another 23 years out of them. All things just come to an end.

This is Jon in tired post tour mood. His ego won't let a cash cow like Bon Jovi lie for too long. Expect another shit album and half baked tour in 2015.

Would he really want to end it with the BWC tour and the last city being Brisbane? (No offense to people from Brisbane)

It's going to be a while but I see 2016 being the comeback.

Agreed. And that's how he feels right now, so why should he convey anything else? Sounds like Jon took the high road and handled the Richie situation with class. Again. Meanwhile, Richie is rambling on about "the ones that I wrote . . . and the ones that he wrote."

No way he'd go out like this. Going out on top would have been after The Circle/Greatest Hits tour. BWC was mediocre in everyway as was the album it supported.

I'm glad he admitted to going on the road to early. If i was a betting man i'd say last album end of 2015 and final tour 2016/17.

They will be back, they will take a break. I think it hit home they have had their poorest selling album, and plus richie, too much too soon. The band will be back, I think. Another 10years in them for sure

Thanks for all the info. What to make of any of this? Nothing....

First off, Bon Jovi is not done for good. No Way!

It is definitely time for some solo work and change. The last thing I want to see and hear is another band album and tour of the same.

Jon and the guys deserve some time away from "the machine" for a couple of years. Now is the time for some compilations and solo work. A Box Set / Proper Live Album / Jon to do a movie soundtrack / Jon to do a real solo album / Richie to do a couple albums / Etc.....

Jon should put the world touring on hold for a while and do things that will allow him to spend some time with his family. Heck, he could become a judge on American Idol.

If the band is over, so be it... I mean what do these guys have left in them anyway. Tico is 60, Richie will be 55, and Jon is turning 52 next week. They will regroup in 3 to 4 years for a final world tour. Alec will probably join that one as well. After that, they'll do some spot shows, but the bulk of Bon Jovi the band is behind us. I think Jon and Richie (and Dave) will make appearances together until they physically can't move anymore. However, still expect a lot from them within the next 10 years whether it be band, solo, or compilation.

With Bruce being 64 and still going strong, Jon will continue to try and be the same if his voice allows him to. I could see Jon taking a similar approach with his career path as Bruce did at 52+ with his band and solo releases.

I think the next 10 to 12 years will be the best in terms of diversity. Now the quality of music is a completely different topic but I do think it's going to be all good. I'm sure there is a contract that needs to be filled....
