That story didn't come just from the Oompas. It was going around in 1994 after it happened.

that story up there is a direct quote from the oompas - i don't doubt the fact that the two bands played at the same show - it is the oooh ahhhh that makes me gag....

When in fact during the grunge/pop-punk era nobody gave a hoot about BJ and the likes (sure some leftover 80s followers couldn't let go and move on) - jesus.....

Bon Jovi are NOT that great live - they have great shows - other bands have awesome shows as well..... Bon Jovi is not the be all end all....
Overseas BJ were quite popular during that era, while here in the US it was indeed their down time while we had to suffer through that crappy grunge/pop-punk era.

I think that whether or not BJ are a great live band is left to one's own opinion. I happen to think that they are one of the better live acts out there, whereas Greenday sucks live. Of course others may think differently.

Yeah, I realized that after the fact. My head isn't on straight today.

Hehe! This story is much funnier than the Oompas'!

I've never liked Green Day anyway.

Thats true, but Green Day's Billy Joe Armstrong is a fantastic frontman none the less. He reminds me of JBJ in the way he is a crowd pleaser. It doesnt take him much to get the crowd into the show! His interaction is superb and often picks a few kids from the audience to play instruments.
