I play exactly the same as the last 2 tours for my two upcoming shows.

I got some down time right now so I'll play along

Jon's ticket prices have noting to do with his philanthropy work. He's not forcing anyone to do anything. If you can afford to sit in the front row, then go. If you can't then get a ticket in the cheap section for 30 bucks. Simple

He's referring to the 80's long hair. Not the fact that his hair is grey and brittle now and needs to get away from his signature longer shag cut. Two different things.

How is he too tired to go on a promo tour? He's only been touring & promoting for almost three years now........ I do think he should explore different paths to promote the new material though

I've never heard Jon place blame on anyone for his mistakes. (And the I-tunes thing doesn't count)

I've never heard Jon cry that no one knows his songs. That would be you. I know it's difficult but try not get the two confused.

Jon is not ripping off anyone. You don't like the prices, don't go. And all ticket prices are high. U2 has the exact same prices as Bon Jovi did for the NM Stadium show this summer

He still has a home in NJ. And even if he didn't, he's from NJ and his roots are there so the saying would still work.....

And TwinFan...... In America B/ means "Because" and W/ means "With". Anyone from America would understand that and not even give it a flinch of thought.

Don't know for Europe but in the US ticket prices did not double. And because someone sympathizes with people who are losing their jobs, doesn't mean they are going to stop making money. As with anything in life you buy what you can afford.

I don't get being that negative constantly, if people are that unhappy maybe they should step away, maybe their lives have changed and they are no longer fans.

The cheap section in my country would be 130 bucks...

I've seen U2 in September last year. Bon Jovi are playing the same stadium in July. A ticket for the very same seat is three times more expensive...

Unfortunately these are facts, not opinions...

In America, MSG tickets were like 37 bucks. I think floor was 120. Then there were, obviously, prices in between. NMS tickets are exactly the same for BJ & U2. Same range. 50 to 150 or something. I can’t speak for every country though.

However, Jon creating homes for the homeless and charging more for concert tickets to people who could afford them are two completely different things. Supply and Demand.......I think Jon’s philanthropy work is one thing that doesn’t get enough credit here. Maybe cause it’s more of a thing he does in the US. I’m going to check out his restaurant gig within the next few weeks.

I agree that the two are not connected. But I am bothered by them scalping their own tickets. Yeah it sucks to give your money to a scalper who makes his money off the work of others, but at least a real fan (who didn't have $1,800 to spare) had a chance at the first 5 rows. He/She had the same shot as every other fan. If you wanted to follow the dates, wake up early when tickets go one sale (or even camp out the night before), use three phones, 2 or 3 computers and call over and over again (again, back in the day), then you deserved the best tickets... that is someone who cares about the music you make.

I actually don’t agree with this. The thing you are talking about is only good for probably young, single people, aged between 15-20 maybe 25 that have a lot of spare time and can actually do all those things you mention to have best seats. But when you are older, have family, job, you’ve got other more important things to do in your life and you simply don’t have TIME for all of that to get a good seat ticket. And it doesn’t make you a worse fan at all. You work hard everyday to have as much money as possible and if after paying for all the necessary things you still have some money left for fun and hobby then decide what you want to spend it on. If it’s the front row ticket and you think it’s worth the price, then buy it. If you don’t have enough money for front row or you think it’s not worth the price, you can still go buy a seat in the stands and enjoy the show as well. You don’t have to look straight into Jon’s eyes to enjoy the music. I for example never had those seats and I’ve always enjoyed the show. I actually don’t understand all the fuss about the front rows. I’d rather be a little bit further to have a better view at the whole stage, screens, light effects etc. And just because someone is in front row does not make him/her a better fan. But maybe that’s just my opinion.
The thing with those highest priced seats is that you not only pay for the ticket itself, but also for the time you saved to get it, to do other things on the way. Just because I have a daughter and can’t leave her at home all alone to camp at night to get a best seat (or take a day off at work) does not make me a worse fan than you. Time is very expensive nowadays. There’s no fair solution for solving the “best seat purchase” problem.

And as for the thread itself, it actually does not deserve much of a comment. It is insanely disrespectful as almost anything else from its author. It’s really easy and "brave" to offend someone (in this case Jon) who can’t defend himself personally over here, isn’t it? And try to turn this all into a joke (which by the way is very lame) with colourful pictures when in fact he said it million times before being dead serious about all of that. Not to mention that those are opinions only, not general facts. This thread clearly says more about its author rather than what it was intended to do.
