I've heard most of the bollocks but not all of it.

If it hadbeen a list from Q or NME then i'd have probably heard close to 75% of them but Kerrangs target isn't what I necesarilly listen to.

lol

For some reason, I always think all BJ fans are actually hard rock fans - but that just isn't so. Hence, I find it very surprising that not everybody owns most of the albums mentioned here.

Oh, and I will admit that I liked that 'wild boys' song and I thought the singer was cute - there you go - I don't think I'll ever admit to it again, though.

I never classed BJ as hard rock though, to me they are not in the same league as Anthrax or Metallica.. they were/are softer hard rock.. if you know what I mean!

And about Duran Duran.. I'm saving this quote of yours and I will use it in my defence is necessary!! Simon Le Bon was cute though and what about The Reflex.. great song!

I lump glam metal and speed metal in the same category - all hard rock - of course there are subcategories. The people I hung out with in the 80s were very much Metallica and Black Sabbath fans - so I really had no chance but get immersed with real metal. BJ was my secret sin of going with the hair bands - hahaha - I caught a lot of slack for that.

I own these

21. Bon Jovi - Keep The Faith
33. Green Day - Dookie
54. Offspring - Smash
55. Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet
59. Aerosmith - Rocks
86. Aerosmith - Pump

and have heard these

3. Metallica - Master Of Puppets
8. AC/DC - Back In Black
10. Slayer - Reign In Blood
32. Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic
36. Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast
83. Metallica - Kill 'Em All
87. Dead Kennedys - Fresh Fruit For Rotting Vegetables

Still a crappy list. Sex Pistols at #10 but no Ramones at all? Boremaster Dookie more than 10 spots above Offsprings excellent counterpart Smash? Nirvana #1?

I've seen this list before.

I have some thing like 50% of it.
In my opinion the Number of the beast should be at the nr 1 spot or pehaps The black album.

Well I have to comment on the No.1 album you have to listen to before you die, Nirvana's In Utero. Bought this a few months ago just to see what the big deal was about Nirvana, I thought they were crap before but after I listened to In Utero they are with doubt the worst band to ever grace this planet. Cobain can't sing to save his life, his guitar ability was diabolical and his lyrics were ****ing stupid, only he truly knows whats behind some of them daft songs. I respect people's opinion about various bands but a line has to be drawn somewhere. So there you go my mini Nirvana rant, buy the album if you dare and see for yourself. Couldn't care less about lists but when any Nirvana stuff is mentioned especially In Utero or Incesticide I have to get my bit in.

I have both Nevermind and In Utero and I love those records.
I saw a quote somewhere about Cobain saying that "he was a lousy musicisian but an amazing songwriter" or something along those lines, and I happen to agree with that.
