I would love to see a Jovi show in an Arena... Here in Brazil the arenas we have can't support a Jovi gig...

That was interesting how the issue of getting full publishing was a big bone of contention between him and UMG. It's hard to imagine Universal would want to give those up unless JBJ wants to make a HUGE offer to buy them.

You're not evil if you're not nice. Jon isn't evil, he just has been very unpleasant for quite some time now. And I agree, he seems quite pleasant and actually nice for a change.

How exactly has he been unpleasant? For me, minus the WWWB documentary, Jon has never come across as a dick or an arrogant person. Of course, I don't know how much of a narcissist he is in general, but he's never really seemed like one. He's always been very helpful and supportive towards the weaker/poorer with all the charity work he's done through the years, behaved well towards his fans, etc.

Yeah, I don't think that's fair what Panda said.

He definitely seems old and tired sometimes when he's asked the same boring questions at every interview and "stink eye" thing hasn't helped obviously, but from the artists I follow, Jon definitely seems like one of the nicer ones as far as speaking to fans on the street, etc.

Absolutely. Plus, for the last few years he seems to have been mostly stink-eyeing himself instead of others, usually after having hit a bum note while singing - for example, several versions of These Days from the BWC tour display this.

EDIT: This one, for instance:

https://youtu.be/wmwXEeS6zyE

After straining to hit the high notes at the end of the song, he literally seems to be angry about his voice! Trust me, Jon himself is the one who's pissed off about his decline the most.

Cool interview!! Jon's becoming a much more laid back version of himself after the rough times he's had these past year/years....

Jon probably loves having Shanks around (aside from their friendship) because he’s reliable. Most people who have been repeatedly let down will tell you they would rather take stability over say, passion or flair.

Shanks is a much needed safety net at a time when JBJ is showing more and more cracks as a performer and artist.
