I didn't get the feel he said he won't play stadiums anymore, just that he rejected it once lately. I absolutely think they could pull of a stadium tour in Europe if they go for a smaller kind of tour in some bigger markets England, Germany, Spain, Ireland, maybe one Scandinavian date. It won't be a 25 + shows in Europe anymore but hey that's OK. A flight across Europe these days is crazy cheap if you book them in advance and you get a nice vacation out of it.

Anyway, I've been trying really hard to get myself to like the current sound and state of the band over the last few years and I'm slowly starting to admit defeat in this endeavour. If Jon doesn't give a **** about Europe, I won't care as a fan, either.

They're gonna play in Europe - people need to stop panicking. But it won't be as intense and full on as the fan base won't be there. They're nearly all 60 so you will never get the intensity. Fewer dates will not affect the die hards because the casuals won't be there.

Jovi aren't done. They're just slowing down - managing expectation sensibly. Jon knew if they carried on with the intensity they'd be finished sooner. It's about keeping as much integrity as possible and keeping it going as long as possible without killing everyone. They're going the right thing

The multi stadium days are definitely over. As far as the UK goes, they would play stadiums in London, Manchester, Bristol, Southampton, Coventry/Birmingham, Glasgow, Newcastle etc.. on the same tour. Even on the WAN tour, they did ok with the numbers despite doing many stadiums.

GnR come over and did a huge 2 nights at the Olympic Stadium and that was it. I know it's not comparible per se, but there's no reason why BJ couldn't do the same. It wouldn't be 5 or 6 stadiums, but 1 or 2 could easily do, be it both in London or 1 in London, 1 in Manchester for example.

Or they could play a few arena shows in the big cities. They'd do well (tickets would be pretty dear sadly) as they have quite often over-saturated the demand previously, so less is more in terms of this tour.

Edit: Having just finished the podcast, it does sound like the "No Stadiums" bit was in reference to NY/USA as opposed to anything else. There didn't seem to anything even remotely alluding to Europe or where these 30 shows would be.

According to what I've heard from the podcast, Jon rejected offers to play mid-2017 stadium dates.

I'm pretty sure it's a 30-show tour starting March.

I think it’s in or near the Hamptons and is called The Blue Parrot.

I reckon the band will do 30 shows from March.
Break for the summer.
Come back for Europe in Oct for another 30 shows in smaller venues.
