Ofc anyone can write a piece of text like this, including on this board. So different views are always expected. Let's not take things here so seriously.

For ME a Jovi ballad:

has powerful vocals
is emotional
has a guitar solo
is on the "slow" side of the album
is a classic

Not necessarily all 5 in the same song, especially #4 and #5. So for me, songs like Always, IBTFY, NSG, TAAS, BOR, Living In Sin, Only Lonely, Silent Night, Lie To Me, Make a Memory.
Maybe Wild Is the Wind and ITA.
But not Letting You Go, Diamond Ring, Say It Isn't So, Thank You for Loving Me, She's a Mystery, Superman Tonight, and some other examples.

Again, this is just me. When someone mentions "Bon Jovi ballads", those are some of the songs that come to mind.

I think we can classify the ballads as Power Ballads and Pop Ballads.

Power Ballads:
Silent Night, Never Say Goodbye, Living in Sin, I'll Be There For You, Bed of Roses, I Want You, Always, This Ain't a Love Song, Lie to Me

Pop Ballads:
Thank you for Loving Me, All About Loving You, You Had Me From Hello, These Arms are Open All Night, You Want To Make a Memory, Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore

They really don't have any power ballads post These Days. Just Pop Ballads

Where do you draw the line between power ballad and pop ballad?
What makes Silent Night a power ballad but Thank You For Loving Me a pop ballad?
If you have a look at the music in 1985, Silent Night was as poppy as it could get. When looking at the arrangement, where is the difference between Always and All About Loving You (except the solo, which isn't even rock-like distorted)?

The amount of heartfelt screaming Jon does in the song :P
I don't really have a clear line. Just based on my own ear test.

Similarly for Guns N Roses, I would classify Don't Cry as Power Ballad and Patience as Pop Ballad

Luv Can. A masterpiece and underrated.

Also, they have awesome bonus tracks as ballads. Stay and These Open Arms are amazing.
