When It's My Life came out, i totally dispised that song! I hated it for all it was worth (which is QUITE a lot!). I didn't like it so much because it was being played forever and forever - it wouldn't stop! I used to ALWAYS watch VH1's Top 20 Countdown, and they were #1 FOREVER! It really got me angry.... And i remember when the Crush era was going on I used to accidently call them Jon Bovi But i remember hearing that my Bon Jovi was my mom's favorite band so, of course, they couldn't be any good and i couldn't like them

I fell in love with them last March (a YEAR NOW) when i listened to my mom's Crossroads cd, and i was "THEY SING THIS SONG? HOW CAN THAT BE?! I LOVE THIS SONG!" I knew most of the songs on the albulm, and i already loved them but i didn't know they were the ones who sung it. But my love is unwavering for them now - I may have only been a fan for only a year, but hot damn, I LOVE THEM! They rock the pants off everyone!

And i'm sorry to admit that when It's My Life came out, i called them old and said they should be in retirement homes already i was so mean I'm ashamed...

I was a new fan with Crush, and although I had heard OF Bon Jovi before, I hadn't really paid any attention to their music.

After I bought Crush, and began to play it repeatedly, I bought the rest of the albums too. I like most of most of them, but Crush is still my favourite. I know that I will probably get yelled at for saying that (probably by letitrock, lol) but it really is my favourite album.

From what clips of Live shows I have seen, it is obvious that the guys don't have as much energy anymore, but that's to be expected...they're getting older (not old, lol).

I think that with the last few albums, their age is showing through, giving them a greater level of maturity within their songs. This is a good thing for me, as I don't want to be fan of a group that never changes, and releases new albums that sound exactly like their old ones.

When I first heard It's My Life, I had never heard of them. I thought they WERE one hit wonders because of that. That made me sad because that song was so good. My initial ractions were as follows:
"If I like this stuff, but that probably means that no one else does."
and:
"Bon Jovi? Sounds like Tutty Fruity. Weird name. They must be obscure rock stars."
It was because of this that I was so shy about liking Bon Jovi. Since then, I have come out of my shell. (Plus, I like the old stuff just as much as the new stuff. I say that it doesn't depend on the era- it depends on the song.)

I knew Bon Jovi had been around for a while. I had heard of them, but obviously didn't like them before I heard It's My Life. That song changed everything for me in late 2001. I thought that it was actually one of their older songs and I half expected it to be on Slippery When Wet (since I knew that was one of their albums, I didn't know what songs were on it though). When I found out it was on CRUSH, I was surprised that it was so recent...

When I first heard IML and tyflm I didn't even know that it was by Bon Jovi. I later saw the clip of IML on MTV and that was the first time I recognized that it was by them. Well, I've always liked bed of roses (before iml was released) but after I discovered the style of crush (a friend, later I noticed that she is a die-hard, had bought it and I couldn't do anything else than burning it) I noticed that this song was also by the guys. Later I listened to 7800°F and for some time I liked it as much as the "new" songs. The one really old song that hooked me when I heard it for the first time was runaway (debut album version). But even at this time I couldn't really decide between the old and the new stuff (OWN was released until then).
