I guess 'better' is always a subjective opinion. Try talking to a huge Oasis fan who hates Elton John Regardless who's better BJ did borrow from Oasis for Captain Crash and Joan Osbourne for Two Story Town.

I agree that Scott Stapp sounds too much like Vedder (and consequently I can't really appreciate Creed music because Pearl Jam grates on my nerves). I recommend Creed getting a vocal replacement. My money is on Josh Groban or Clay Aiken (the American Idol), they can handle the 'dramatic Creed ballads' with the greatest of ease!

P.S. Joan Osbourne did not write that God song. She just performed it. Eric Bazilian wrote the song. Does his name sound familiar?

Nope, but then Jon should give props to him!

He worked with Jon on DA in 1996. Who knows what they might share?

He co-wrote UGLY, and his name is in the liner notes. Enough props?!

No, not really
Is his name mentioned as a co-writer in Crush album on Track 4?

I guess the way I look at the "borrowing" thing is everyone needs to be inspireded by someone or something. There is a reason we can relate to the music and the lyrics. I know BJ inspires me and there are worst things a song writer could do.

At least he flat out says "Yeah, I look up to...." Instead of getting defensive and all "premadona attitude".

You go Jon
