All message boards are. It's hilarious. People feel the need to "tag-team" others.

I will agree, I dislike reading posts (and therefore don't) where the poster types like a 2nd grader. My feeling is, if you have the time to come on a message board and post something, you should have the time to make it legible. If you don't have the time, then you shouldn't be on there in the first place.

That being said, I simply wouldn't respond to the poster. Some people take it upon themselves to be message board police officers or school teachers.

This board isn't bad at all when it comes to moderators, but there's one board I go on that the moderators are absolutely "thread close happy", and lock down any thread that turns into any discussion whatsoever. Now THAT is pathetic.

I was able to read the first message perfectly well ...but I am also the typos queen so it's not surprising ...

I think honeslty that ice is usually the most helpful person and not the type to be that uptight about the right way to write a sentence ..I am thinking some allien was invading ice brain ... Ice was I think kinda nasty and IMO he is not like that usually (maybe he had a celebrity moment)

Jon can be a jerk sometimes like many celebrities .. but he is not the rude or unpolite type usually ....he was probably in a very bad mood (I was there and thought he was very tensed when he arrived at the HRC ) When something bother JBJ he is UNABLE to hide it unfortunately .. too bad it was your friend who had to receive that reaction... the best thing is to try to forget that ..

about typing like a second grader .. well not all of us have english as mother language (even if it's not the case on here) but on another board that I won't name LOL there is one very english spoker person who type the word *through* .. THREW (this among tons of other mistakes)
I have hard time to not post and correct the message but it would be rude so I don't do it ... it's about that for me .. trying to not hurting ppl

As to the original poster - I am a longtime fan and I have never met Jon. If you press me to tell the truth - I don't really want to. I love the music (mostly) and I'd rather keep it that way than start obsessing about how I was (or was not) treated. I don't want it to be personal - I'm quite happy as a fan.

What this board really needs is a spell checker - then there would be no excuse for people who choose not to use it

I never said you were "less intelligent", I said you come off as not too bright because of the way you type. And I stand by it. If you don't have enough common courtesy to learn to type before coming to a messageboard and expecting serious answers, I don't think you deserve any.

There are people here, I myself included, that are not native Eglish speakers and still write better English than you. If they can do it, I'm sure you can as well. If you choose not to, well, that just tells a whole lot more about your attitude towards other people here.

As to others jumping on my posts, read them. I could spot at least one person who didn't even understand what was being said. No surprise there, it was inside the part written like a 2-year-old. There's a reason you should learn to type.

To be honest I started reading the thread this morning and lost interest even before getting to the main bit of the story!...just cos it was bunched up.

It was only reading subsequent posts I decided to read it and find what it was about... a cap or indeed a cap.

Jon was uncomfortable at the HRC...he seems to be uncomfortable with the admiration. Does he suffer from claustrophobia? He was a bit like a fish in a fish bowl that night.

People can type however they damn well please.

But.

People should also be aware that if you type like a lazy idiot, you will probably get called on looking like a lazy idiot.

And if you want people to take what you say seriously? Don't make yourself look like a lazy idiot.

This thread is kind of pathertic at this point.

Fiona Raven is funny but she scares me in some way that is not cool.
