I fall to sleep listening to "Scars on My Guitar", "Amen" and "Bed of Roses" with my phone under my pillow. I've had a good night's sleep if I don't remember listening to the last song meaning I fell asleep quickly.

You are not wrong.

To me, KTF and SWW are the same in a way that the killers are really killer, but the fillers are quite bad and for this reason I will always rank it below the other two of the "big four" (NJ and TD). I'd also add Crush to the category of "could've been a great album if it was more consistent".

Another reason is probably that Jon knew (and even admitted later on) that he kind of stole it from Southside's Hearts Of Stone...

But back on topic: while I agree about the lyrics and that they could actually turn you off if you are above a certain age, what's wrong with the music?

Don't mean to give any stupid advice, but to sleep with your phone under your pillow? Do you mean like literally? I just hope you turn on airplane mode...

Actually, back in the day they didn't release it as a single since they deliberately pulled the plug of SWW to end the tour. Jon stated in "Ulitmate Albums" that they could've worn out the album (even mentioned I'd Die For You as a potential 5th single), but couldn't carry on promoting SWW after over 14 months.
I can see how you can't relate to the lyrics at some age (I'm still in my 20's and can relate to them), but I also don't see anything wrong with the music on its own. Especially the acoustic renditions are great stuff.

The music is actually worse than the lyrics IMO. That whining guitar is obnoxious. Acoustic versions are much better.

Let me guess...you don't like My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms either because of the whiny guitar?!

Well - I am certainly an "older" fan. I adore Southside's Hearts of Stone (being a big Southside fan in general). And I love Never Say Goodbye, I love Jon and Richie's harmony on the acoustic versions and I love the nostalgia of the song. So throw me out of the rock and roll club LOL

I'm all for different generations liking different things for different reasons but if you're a Bon Jovi fan there are some standards and not liking Never Say Goodbye isn't one of them.

It's like being an Elvis fan and not liking Jailhouse Rock... or being in love with a model and not liking her smile... I mean come on..

You Don't need to feel the song on every level but as a fan, songs like NSG defined Bon Jovi... it's more than just lyrics that's make songs great... it's understanding the band, the generation, the passion and delivery that's involved with that piece of art...

It's very hard to take certain fans serious or respect their opinions when they state such shit... I just see them as trolls...
