This is another confession but it's a little bit off topic.

I was just listening to Does Anybody, the leaked one, not the NJ deluxe version, and I remembered how I used to listen to this song like 3-4 straight while I was playing Battlefield 4 on summer vacation. It became a routine at one point, I would play the song then enter the game and didn't even notice the song playing in the background.

Love this thread.

I enjoy WAN much more than most people here. I absolutely love The Fighter and consider it among Jon's best writing.

Superman Tonight is in my top ten favorite songs by the band.

I've really grown to appreciate Room At The End Of The World. It's one of the most underrated songs in the catalog.

So much more to add. I'll check back in later.

I love 7800º Fahrenheit.

I love the Circle, including Fast Cars.

When launched Crush, I hated the album, but now I like most of the songs.

I love Open All Night (Bounce song) and I think that I Love This Town is a decent tune which would've gotten more appreciation if it hadn't been the follow-up to WSYCGH.

I absolutely hate Thank You For Loving Me. All Jovi ballads are cheesy, but that one's just too far over the edge for me!

The Circle is an awesome record, with some bad songs.

Most of the post-2000 albums are underrated. Except What About Now, that really sucks, but has a few good songs.

Great thread! Here's my list:
- Slippery When Wet as an album is overrated. Lots of amazing songs that made their career, but a few fillers as well. Not as perfect as it is sometimes made out to be.
- Any post 2000 album is better than 7800 and BJ
- Who Says You Can't Go Home is a great song; especially the duet version. I get why the snob 'purists' don't like it, but it's a great pop song and it was their last hit for a reason.
- HAND, the song, is not an IML clone
- HAND, the album, is also overrated here. Novocaine is a turd, I Am, Complicated, I Want To Be Loved are all lame. Wildflower is nice though.
- BOG, the album, while great vocal achievement by Jon, is very inconsistent and only has 3 great songs in there.
- Crush is underappreciated. It suffers for not being TD-quality and being released after 90s, but it was still better an almost everything they put out since.
- Lost Highway, the abum, is their best since These Days and probably their 3rd or 4rd best album. That's why I said "almost" in my previous point
- What's Left Of Me is their best song of the last 10 years.
- Bitter Wine and Open All Night (Bounce) are two of their best ballads, only a bit below Always and I'll Be There For You
- Jon is a lazy idiot for never making the effort to at least somewhat sustain his voice
- Richie is a tool for everything he did and said in the last few years
- As long as Jon sounds like this, they should never play another concert as Bon Jovi again, as it'd be too embarrassing for someone like me to get my band's name tarnished in front of my friends and casual fans in general. And don't give me the "if you don't like it, don't go to the shows" nonsense. That's what YouTube is for - everyone sees, knows, and hears everything.

Agreed about Lost Highway. Has some of the best songwriting they ever did, though I can understand that some folks don't like the country touch. Absolutely love The Last Night, Walk Like A Man (should've been a single), Til We Ain't Strangers Anymore, Whole Lot Of Leaving, and so on... Even Summertime (while a filler in my eyes) was great fun live! Could do without hearing Lost Highway the song at every show, though.

And... wait for it... I *love* Captain Crash! Works great live (with fans like me and the casuals) and I just love the music and the (nonsense, but fun) lyrics! I totally love The More Things Change too, BTW

My Bon Jovi confessions:

Apart from the shit at the end, I think WAN is a decent album.
I love Thick As Thieves, and think it would be wonderful live if Jon could pull it off vocally, especially the (albeit cheesy) electric chair line, imagine that line sung in darkness and then a flashing light effect like electricity. Come on, you know it would be immense!

I cannot stand Just Older and think it is the most overrated Jovi song ever, especially by them. At least with Richie gone that should be the end of that one.

Like Rolo, I am not afraid to admit I LOVE Fast Cars!! Also, the song everyone always pees all over is Save The World! I adore the cheese. It's one of my favorite ballads!

I really like Cpt. Crash...it's also much fun acoustic but unfortunately they only played it once. She's A Mystery is a great song as well.
Furthermore I really like The Circle. Fast Cars and Old Before I Die are fillers, yes, but I can really enjoy this record from start to finish.
And it's a shame they never played Woman In Love live. This song is big fun!
Social Disease on the other hand is a song I really dislike.
