I concur. The dualdisc is great, the extended version of Prayer for example is nice, to give it a proper ending somewhat from what I remember.
Thing is, they made a big fuss about releasing "the new dualdiscs" over here, and I havent seen anything since.

The surround mix isn't great, as a I said, but the quality is, and it's cool to hear the different parts.

I've attached a short clip from one (it's only a 25 second clip and low quality so hopefully not considered to be file sharing lol)

Yeah, they even had a website dedicated to DualDiscs (www.dualdisc.com) but I don't think it's been updated for about 2 years. Some artists have since released dualdisc versions of their albums. I now Bruce Springsteen's last 2 albums were released as dualdiscs. Sadly it's all digital downloads and iTunes these days. There's nothing like owning and listening to a proper CD.

He probably used DVD Audio. He told me about that program quite a few years ago and I have been using it happily ever since

And for the record (no pun intended) this is worth seeking out. What I like are the additions and extended intros.

Here is link to where you can download and a pile of comments on the program. I have to say that there are certainly discs that it won't work with.

I've been using DVD Audio Extractor for about a year now and it works fine. I find though, when burning MP3's-ripped-from-DVD's to CD, even if the quality of the MP3's is fine, playing back on a CD can be poor quality. (ie. pops, blips and slurpy sounds) I got round this by ripping to .wav first, THEN .mp3, and playback ona CD is fine. It's time consuming but worth it.

You should rip to WAV and burn direct to audio CD, not convert to MP3 first (unless you're burning as an MP3 CD)
