Default The Today Show

I was at the show and just got back. The boys looked great. After waiting since 12:30 am we were treated to sound check around an hour before the broadcast. They ran through three new songs a couple of times and Who Says before leaving.I was not close where I could see without being on my tiptoes but just being there was ok by me. Richie looked great and after the show he stayed longer than Jon signing autographs and even gave one of his guitars out.Jon was in fine form and seemed very happy. They played Who Says,Lost Highway,Memory and Whole Lot Of Leaving. The songs sound awesome. The whole crowd where I was standing chanted Richie name before he departed.Memory sounded the best I've heard and Lost Highway def was not flat. This is just my two cents.Anyone else go?

Where there ANY male fans in the audience? And all those 'I love you Jon!' etc posters held up by those idiots... Its not helping the image of the band if they want the serious side of their music to be considered by critics and the like. The average Joe when they hear Bon Jovi still think - Jon, Hair, Jons teeth, big dumb fun songs with a hook, etc (hell, even the interview on this show with the Rolling Stone reporter confirms this).

I still shudder when I recall the image of all the women in the front row at the TLFR DVD gig... One of the reasons why its almost embarrasing to be a (male) bon jovi fan!

Keep in mind that a lot of guys are not as free to take the morning off and go to something like this.

I certainly can't this time of year. Early mornings are for construction inspection - no way I could be gone.

Of course this afternoon I took off for Wal Mart to pick up a few copies of the album LOL.

"My mum LOVES Bon Jovi!"

What the **** is that to write on a poster????

On the other hand. Can they ask the audience to "please don't make cheesy poster" ???

Gawd, American audiences are so lame.

Good performances though. Jon seemed incredibly psyched and seeing Richie again is fantastic. Can't wait to see him at the O2.

I'm glad about how gruff Sambora was with Matt Lauer, I hate that little prick.
