I still cant possibly understand why Acquiesce didnt make the album. Its one of my favourite Oasis songs.

Well you can see the independence/"you can do anything" theme with Bon Jovi prior to the 00s.... It's My Life was deliberately self-indulgent, Everyday was about overcoming adversity, HAND was supposed to be political, so I can see why Jon might not initially notice how similar they sound. But in retrospect it can't really be denied. I wish Jon would write a real ballsy political song.

I love the song, it is a great song for the encore IMO and I see no reason to hate it

I remember I was really really looking forward to this song when I saw the tracklist for Crush, I geuss that was the biggest letdown on first listen. I still had to go through she's a mystery, i got the girl tho

I really like this song- i love the theme and it reminds me of certain times and certain people...

Having said that, I don't really get why it's become such a staple. It does drag a little live and it's not a big single for the casual fans (though you have to question how casual a fan is who's forked out fifty quid a ticket...but that's another post )...

I think (as someone else suggested) it should be swapped around more- much as I like it I don't think I'd be dissapointed not to hear it live (again) next time I see them.
