Default The Verdict: In & Out Of Love

Aloha !

Ever since I bought Thierry's Epiphone Les Paul I've been able to play things I was never able to play before due to having not such a brilliant guitar. Now with Ice's tabsite (www.freezezone.com) I tried some stuff from Fahrenheit again and was able to nail it all, even though it actually isn't not that difficult.

In & Out Of Love is one of those songs. On the live album it's one of the highlights even though they cut about 4 minutes off from the song (The full version was however released back in 1985 as a b-side to the UK 12" release of Hardest Part Is The Night). The production of Fahrenheit is a bit average but live the song really works. Richie used to do a 4 minute guitar solo before it but I can't see that happening again anytime soon. It does have a good hook to it and some nice riffs here and there which are always good to hear.

They did soundcheck the song on the Lost Highway tour once or twice before the European Tour started and with the vocals being not that hard it's a song Jon could easily sing live. I'm wondering though, does anyone really like the song as much as I do? Apart from the cheesy stuff before the solo ("Hahaha, hey baby what are you doin'? etcetera) I think the song rocks as hard as any other decent Bon Jovi rocker. And because it appeared on Cross Road I reckon more people know it than any other song from Fahrenheit and the chorus is easy to sing along to.

So what do you think? Yay or nay?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
