I think its a good effect, and not overused.

maybe not if all those songs were spread out over Jovi's career...but how 8 out of those 10 songs are post 2000 songs... it seems they have been trying to re create livin on prayer/its my life a bit to much recently...i do feel it has been over used since Crush most deffinatley...

I think that maybe it BJ's way of trying to to break into a new audience. They maybe are trying to tap into a new fanbase, just like they did when people discovered them the late 80's.

I think i know where you mean. I haven't listened to the song but i'm going through it in my head and there is deffinatley something that sounds like a talk box, i think it's just a single note that raises in pitch with the whammy bar then fades out.

Obviously i'm only going with what's in my head but i think you could be right.

Nope, sorry, not second verse. 1st. You can hear it at it's clearest at 0:24, headphones work better, it's out of the left side.
