Yeah, it sounds like subtle talk-box to me. It's funny - I had no idea what you were talking about until the track started and then I actually knew what you meant before it even got to 0:24s as I have noticed it before but not really thought anything of it.

yes this is called the talk box and it is used on the new album on track 5 "we got it going on". I am one of the lucky ones to have the full album and richies blasts this out exactly on 2 minutes and 22 seconds into the song and it is perfect.
Ilove the sound and it is typically Bon Jovi. We should never take this sound away from BJ. We got to remember our roots "NEW JERSEY" Personally i love it, but i would love Richie banging a pair of sticks together keep the faith Guys !!! see you at the O2 dome
