Better and more influential band than Bon Jovi.

Endless Wire >>>>>>> post-2000 Bon Jovi albums

Let's look at the last few.

2005 - Paul McCartney
2006 - The Rolling Stones
2007 - Prince
2008 - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
2009 - Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band
2010 - The Who

Yeah, shit shows

I actually quite like The who, but they're a bit past it now aren't they? and with Moon and Entwistle gone it's all a bit second rate.

"Will you have some tea
After theatre with me?"

They lyrics always make me smile

Yeah, I suppose, but at the end of the day, they're The Who and they've earned a superbowl appearance

It's a good song is Tea and Theatre. It's a song that tells the story of The Who and how one of us "failed". It's a song for absent friends. I know it doesn't rock, and it isn't ever going to be a Who classic, but it's meaningful and full of feeling. It has it's place. Endless wire is a pretty average album. There's some decent songs on it but mainly it's a bit shit. They should have just left it with the Wire and Glass EP. That rocked and bascially contained all that was good on Endless Wire. I think we may have seen the end of The Who with that album.

You're right with what you say about Moon and Entwistle as well. No band could replace them. They were a great rhythm section. Zack Starkey has done well for The Who live. Not as good as Moon, but then who will be? Pino Palladino, the good bassist he is just can't fill John Entwistle's boots. They're half of what they were, but even that's better than 99% of the acts these days. They still ****ing rock and will give anyone a run for their money live.

I remember seeing them for the first time live on TV around 2001. It was at The Royal Albert Hall.

I was expecting some old blokes to be wheeled and perform a few stale numbers. My jaw dropped when they kicked in, the energy was unbelievable and the sound scape something I'd never heard before.

I like Zak Starkey, he's better than his dad

Great gig.

I've got to say, though, I have no problem with Tea And Theatre, but I think it's a bit rubbish how they close almost every concert with it.

Haha, damn right he is! Keith Moon taught him how to play drums.

Yeah the Albert Hall gig is really well done. That was when John "Thunder Fingers" Entwistle was alive too so you got the added benefit of him on bass. He's a great player.
