I don't watch a lot of bootlegs. I just don't care anymore. But there was one that was live streamed a few years ago that was utterly painful all around, music and vocals. It was an embarrassment to the organization. I think it was from somewhere in Ohio? Wouldn't swear to it though.

I've never been to a bad show in person though. I'm lucky enough to say that I've never seen Bon Jovi put on a bad show.

Hands down, Sarnia Ontario on the Lost Highway run.

Everything went wrong, missed cues, a song starting in the wrong key, giant insects, Richie sick and still singing two songs and an abbreviated set.

Do you remember which song started in the wrong key?

I've been visiting this site for many, many years... Keeping up with the latest news, being exited when a show was happening and the setlist was revealed 'live' hoping for some surprises. I've been a fan since 1993 and been collecting bootlegs since 1997. Though I never registered here. Just lurking..

Yet now I felt the need to say something...

Why a thread about the worst BJ concert ever ?!? I've been listening to some of the youtube clips listed here. And yes, Jon's voice isn't what it was in the past .. But I did enjoy the clips... Are they my first pick when I pull out a bootleg? No way.. I go back to some 1995/ 1996 shows that I love.

I've seen most of the tours in Holland since 1996 and while some of them might not have been the best performances. I've enjoyed each and every one of them thoroughly.

What About Now. This is where the band is now. These Days or New Jersey will always be my favorite BJ albums, though after a computer crash, Not Running Anymore & Old Habits Die Hard are in my 'most played Itunes list'.

Let's just accept that music & voices change. I have different feelings with all BJ records. 7800 was the first record I ever bought. As a 14 year old boy I cycled 10 kilometers to buy it, because it was 5 dutch guilders cheaper there than in the store in my hometown. Is it the best BJ record? No, but I love listening to it every now and then. I probably won't cycle 10 kilometers for a new record today, but will buy anything the band releases without a second thought. Since 1993 BJ has been part of my live. I will forever be grateful for the music they made.

I can name a number of songs I don't like, yes they are there.. I will not..

So... why look at some 'bad' shows (that I can't help, but still enjoy listening to) and just focus on the Wonderfull music that they have created..

Let us enjoy the band before they become another Prince, Bowie..........

Conclusion and end of rant. Yes I love the 1988-1996 era, but it's 2016 now... For me there are no bad Bon Jovi shows, though I hope Richie comes back

Bobby was much less prepared for the Puerto Rico show on the Lost highway promo run. There was a mix of Bobby playing painful leads and the mixing trying to drown out his guitar that just made some songs a bit of a mess (though he really was great on others - honest!). But I really can't class it as one of the worst, Jon was there trying and giving it his all, and his vocals were great. Tico, Dave and Lorenza were also giving out great energy. These 2015 shows made me really nervous about the upcoming album/tour

Just to clear, he was lip-syncing the part before the solo (in 2015) to the NJ broadcast (in 2013).

Why not? The best concerts and albums and whatnot have been done to death, why not discuss the worst?

I think what people seem to misunderstand sometimes is that discussing the bad points in this group does not make people "haters" or whatever, its just discussion. Sometimes it's fun to watch the mistakes or awful moments. Lets be honest, Bon Jovi dont have many truly awful moments like some bands do so it's all relative.

People here love the band and whilst we can dissect everything in here it doesn't dilute anything or take anything away from the good stuff. If balance is needed, people can join the discussion and balance it out- people saying everything is crap is just as bad as those with rose tinted specs saying how Bon Jovi are da best eva and ignoring things like Hull or the mega expensive Runaway Tours nonsense.

Just join the discussion and you'll find despite discussing the negative, you won't find many more people who love Bon Jovi more than in here.

And to prove that sometimes the "Bad" stuff is amusing:

I love Bon Jovi dearly, but it doesn't mean I think everything they have ever done is perfect. I f I think they are being judged unfairly I will challenge you. But even the band knows not every performance is spot on--thank goodness. Just watch the beginning of Access All Areas. They are ripping apart the show they just did.
