Do you think Jon doesn't like it anymore? I think they have put TD aside because they think people didn't get it And maybe they don't play them at concerts because they think the songs in there are not just sing-along tunes.

They should ber VERY proud of TD :P
To roughly quote Jon, he said TD was a dark time in their lives and who want sto constantly remember the darker times.

Not me! That's for sure.

Anything to bash these days. LOL
naughty mouse, I like TD , we all have a darker side

I remember reading an interview with Richie in Guitarrist Magazine and he said it was their best and most guitar heavy album. I'm almost sure it's his favourite, you only have to look at who wrote the songs! and about "the fans don't get it", it must be the americans coz it Europe it was really hot. Best songs, best lyrics, best guitar solos...what else can you ask for?

There really isn't anything to get. It isn't all that deep and meaningful. I think it is a fairly simple album. It has nothing to do with what part of the world you are from either. It is all a matter of preference.

Simple?I don't know what you mean! You're certainly not talking about the lyrics and guitar solos. OK so were not talking about COMPLICATED stuff but it's most definitley BJ's most complicated and deep record

Complicated guitar solos...perhaps. Complicated lyrics, well that is a matter of opinion. I find the lyrics rather foolish, but then again, that is just because I have never been a fan of the album.

But what do or can you compare them to? What are the deepest lyrics they've done for you. I mean yeah, keep the faith definitly but you can't really compare the TDs lyrics to any of the other stuff they've done. I mean Bounce was supposed to be sort of serious with stuff about 11s but I found them a lot more patriotical but with no real base. What do you reckon?

That is just the point, I don't think BJ has ever really written deep lyrics. I have never viewed them as that kind of band. Coldplay, yes, I think some of their lyrics are deep and it works for them because that is who they are. For me, TD was a cheap attempt to try and be something BJ are not. It didn't work for me. Again, this is all opinion. You may find things in the album that I just don't see.

O.K, I see your point, but if you're not in to the lyrics, what about the music? I just find it hard to believe that anybody can NOT like Richie's guitar playing!

COLDPLAY What is your favourite album or Jovi song Mouse? I suppose I want to know what you think the real Jovi is.

I am not saying Coldplay are some great band, but they are known for their deep along with depressing (hehee) lyrics. My favorite album is New Jersey. That to me is true BJ.

Sure, Richie's guitar playing always sounds great to me. Then again, I am not a musician so what do I know.
