Jon doesn't like "7800" because everything went too fast, they had a four days-break after the end of the tour for the first record and they had to write and record new material very quickly, because the new tour was scheduled. and nothing was ready! they wrote, demoed and recorded 35 songs as fast as they could, but the result wasn't what they were expected at all. if they only sometimes play "Tokyo Road", Jon says that "Only Lonely" and "Hardest Part Is The Night" are the ones he's still real happy with. "7800" also means crappy videos again, and if you wanna make'em angry, just make'em watch "Runaway"... they're very upset about it.
"These Days" is a bit too sad and depressive, and it's not Bon Jovi's goal. it's not their usual way of doing songs, but it was a hard time so it reflected in the mood of the songs and the lyrics. that's the main reason they don't really like it, it's too different.
I don't think SWW or Jersey are their favourites. they're really proud of these records, but Jon & Richie have more than 40 years and it's no more their way of thinking or writing. I'm sure they're more interested in playing "Captain Crash" than "Wild In The Streets".

TD is the last good album of Bon Jovi. Since TD they only have released crap and more crap. I feel embarassed with the last 3 albums of BJ, what´s that? Crap and more crap, stupid comercial tunes and only a few good songs (just older, last man standing...).

They are 40, and they sing things like "Bounce, bounce, nothing gonna keep me down" ....ahem ahem.... `

It is my opinion that they are cliche, and it is yours that they are BJ's finest. Don't be so close minded as to think that your way is the right way. Anyone in their right mind knows that people are allowed to have different opinons on things for that is what makes the world an interesting place.

I cant stand My guitar lies bleeding it is the worst tacky song ever, the words are well cheesy.

I do like the TD album though.
