Default These Days

I was just wondering why they hardly ever sing any songs from that album, like these days, or hey god. These are classic songs and would be so good at a concert.
I have to say that the whole album is better than the bounc or even crush. You dont hear the same passion in Jon's voice in bounce as you did on the earlier albums(like these days). Everytime that i put that album on it makes me feel as if i am listening to it for the first time.
even jon's voice is so much better.
Anyone agree?

I Agree that these days is a great album, my favourite is my guitarr lies bleeding in my arms, but i donīt know if thatīs so good on a concert, and I think that there is actually some good songs on the newer albums also!

these days is my fav album of all time.

I seen Bon jovi in concert August of '95 about a month after These Days was released and the only song they played from These Days was Hey God. Usually a band plays 5 or 6 songs from the new cd to support it, not one. They didn't even paly the lead off single This Ain't A Love Song. I found it very puzzling at the time.

I had the pleasure of hearing TD the song live before the album was released. It was awesome.
Unfortunately I don't really like the album as a whole. I fully agree that the album needs to be represented in the coming tour, I hate it when bands decide to ignore certain albums in the live setting. However, two songs may be enough. More than that would be an overkill.
The title track has got to be in the setlist... why this wasn't made a permanent fixture in the setlist baffles me to no end. The other song can be Hey God, TAALS, Something for the Pain, Hearts Breaking Even, If That's What It Takes or even Damned. I just hope it's not the other songs coz I hate them

Oh yeah and note to Jon: start rehearsing Always Run To You!

I know what you mean, we hardly hear anything from the album. I don't know how much the band like the album, but I like These Days a lot!
I wish that we had some more stuff from 7800F, because those songs'd sound great in a stadium!

IMO These Days is an incredible album. But itīs also a pretty dark record. And I think thatīs the main reason why they donīt play much of it. I mean, Bon Jovi are popular for their great fun anthems, stadium rock songs, etc. and TD just doesnīt fit in there.
Personally I think that the title track should be a permanent part of their shows, cause itīs such a perfect song. Something for the Pain is also cool live... or Damned. So, letīs hope theyīll put some stuff from TD on their setlists for the next tour

I have $10 that say that with all the patriotism around that the title track(these days) will make the setlist.

Default I was thinking the same thing

When I attended a OWN concert last year, I was hoping for at least one song from These Days, but to no avail. These Days would sound good in concert, and I also really like Damned (not sure why, but I think it's a great song). Damned also has great opprotunity for a thrilling Richie solo at the end. Something for the Pain would also be great, as it is another excellent song. You also hardly ever hear anything from 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit. I can't say I've ever heard of any Destination Anywhere songs played either. Speaking of which, was there ever a Destination Anywhere tour? I know it was a solo album, so it wouldn't have the same "umph" you get with the whole band there, but it's still a good album. But anywho, in a nutshell, These Days songs live would be great.

When I saw them on the These Days tour in 1995 (the best show I've ever seen) they played 6 songs from the album. (These Days, Hey God, Lie to Me, Something for the Pain, Damned, and This Ain't a Love Song). On the OWN tour last year though, they only played These Days. Now, if only they'd play Hearts Breakin Even I'd be a happy camper. I do agree though, that These Days is a darker album and that they try to keep a more optimistic sound. Especially at a live show. I'll just be happy to be there, no matter what they play.

hey there..
I would also like to add that I agree as well that These Days was an excellent album!!!I think the songs on the album are very personal and ones that you could relate to in your own way...like my personal favorites are :These Days(for obvious reasons),Lie To Me,Something To Believe In,(Its Hard)Letting You Go,and Hey God.Does anyone by chance have any of the videos on tape that are willing to sell?I would gladly buy them from someone.I feel very fortunate enough to say that I saw the band play in April of 2001 on their OWN tour...and during their encore they played Something To Believe In!I was truly in heaven!!!well take care..and please let me know if anyone can sell me any of those videos.Oh yeah I am currently listening to These Days right now!

take care,Tom
Tonight I'll dust myself off
Tonight I'll suck my gut in
I'll face the night and I'll pretend
I got something to believe in.
