I'm still surprised that he even made a video to acknowledge the anniversary, given how this album has been criminally underplayed by him in comparison to other records of their prime years. This did not seem like a PR campaign, but rather something he felt like doing feeling bored, which feels more authentic obviously.
Completely agree. He does say the whole pandemic is driving him a little “nutty” which is what drove him to this.

It was a surprise, but a pleasant one nonetheless even if he’s not being genuine with his account of the album. Especially considering the band has barely talked about this album since that era.

Missed opportunity. He couldve made this a lot longer and explained the songs etc.

If I had my way I'd replace Dianond Ring with Wedding Day and maybe SFTP with Prostitute.

I love All I want is everything but its never mentioned anywhere by anyone!

Not the biggest fan of These Days and also not JBJ, still, these are my favs from the album, in order:

1. These Days
(big gap)
2. Diamond Ring
3. Hey God
4. It's Hard Letting You Go
5. If That's What It Takes
6. Something To Believe In

For me the album is the perfect pair with Keep The Faith. Really this album has magic powders everywhere, there is so much inspiration in it. I wouldn't remove any songs from the album, All I Want Is Evething and Bitter Wine too.

I agree it’s a natural progression from Keep the Faith as I see both those albums as part of a coming-of-age era for the band. I actually tend to consider These Days as more of a sequel to “Dry County” specifically, diving further into the themes expressed in that one song and exploring avenues beyond both lyrically and tonally.

https://mariskalrock.com/actualidad/...de-these-days/

Here you can read(in spanish) a very nice review of the these days album from a very famous spanish web and magazine.
Its extrange how that album was destroyed by the critics back in 1995 and now, those same magazines and media made good reviews of the album..

Top 10 Bon Jovi songs is dominated by this album. This is by far and away their best work. Nothing comes close.

Jon can be proud of that album, is unique, and I hope that with that re-listening, he will value Richie Sambora's work more, the guitar on that album is awesome, never sounded better, Sambora was in an impressive state of grace.

It was nice to see Jon recognizing that These Days exists. He usually shys away from talking about the old stuff. That been said the way he did it made me laugh.

Nobody: ...

Jon Bon Jovi: "Here's my quick review of my own record. It really holds up."

More. of. this. Don't wait for the machine and editing, if this is the best you can do with just an iPhone your fans will eat this up by staying visible instead of sitting around. Love it.
