Default these days : the LAST true bj album

these are my points.....

1) is the last album where RICHIE sing a lot and make great harmony and see probably his best vocal performance
2) is the last album where RICHIE play a lot of guitar stuff and make great solos. this is probably the most guitar driven bj's albums
3) is the last album that has a GREAT ROCK PRODUCTION with probably the greatest arrangements they ever did
4)is the last album where there are not fillers....great rock tracks and even the deeper ballads (like it's hard lettin you go which is comparable in the way the wrote it to Open all night or you had me.....for the style BUT IT'S 1000000 TIMES BETTER...) are simply amazing with totally different approach in the playing

As much as I like TD, it is definitely not the most guitar driven BJ album.

it is because the amount of arrangments and the tracks guitar has in this album....just for example SFTP has at least 3 parts...(ok also other songs in other albums) but generally is the most complex one....

5) It's the last album that a lot of effort was put into making.

6) It's the last album with a good vocal performance from Jon.

7) It's the last album with a full, comprehensive world tour.

8 ) It's the last album that Tico performed on.

9) It's the last album to contain songs that aren't three minute pop songs.

10) It's the last album they made before Jon wanted to seriously become a film star.

11) It's the last album they made before Jon started turning into a bit of a ponce, wearing designer clothes, cutting his hair short, waxing (hahah, you big puffy girl) his chest and letting his shirt 'accidentally' come unbuttoned.

12) It's the last album that didn't last less than one hour.

13) It's the last album to have alternate international versions that were worth collecting (UK edition with bonus CD, Australian edition with bonus CD, Japanese editionin A4 hardback book with Karaoke days CD, Japanese edition in small hardback book etc.).

14) It's the last album that had 5 songs that were worthy of being released as singles.

15) It's the last album that wasn't crap.

This is why I think These Days is the best album. There's a lot of maturity in the songs, in the riffs, in the lyrics...though it's a dark album. Hope we will see BJ like this soon? But not sure

Different point of view.

1) It's the last album before Napster, Kazaa, etc.

2) It's the last album before teenybooper pop, rap, r&b craze.

3) It's the last album with Mercury in the US.

I'm done. Can anyone add something to this different point of view??

Crush isn't crap. It's fresh and fits in with the sound of music these days. If they went back to These Days type music. It really wouldn't fit on the radio and Jovi fans would be the only ones buying it. Crush must not be crap if it sold a hell of a lot more albums than These Days did. If I am correct.
