In fact, I remember an article way back in the 80s in which BJ was cited as an example of the pressure record companies put on their artists - they weren't allowed to cut their hair - were ridiculed for getting married at a time when it would have been more beneficial for them to stay single and please the girls, had to wear certain clothes, etc.... Which actually was the reason for the death of glam metal - too much pressure - too many rules - just what that age group did not want. Perfect breeding ground for grunge :P I don't think it is fair to compare album sales of the 80s to numbers of today - times are different.
