Very cool! Raleigh, North Carolina is my hometown.

I can't believe anyone would say this is about money, I really don't think Jon's share of the songwriter royalty will make or break him, lol!

My point is he's not going to get rich off of that one royalty. It won't make or break him, so I can't see that as the motivation for giving the song to Clay. Heck if royalty motivation was what drives Jon then we'd see a lot of their demos given to other artists. For all we know, Desmond may have taken the song to Clay and said, "now here's a song for you" and it had nothing to do with Jon.

Exactly. There's no point slamming Jon for something we know nothing about. The details may be far more intricate. I could care less. Though I am interested in hearing Clay's take on the song.

Why is it ridiculous to give another artist a song that you are not going to use yourself? And again, since Desmond Child had a hand in Clay's first record, I'm sure giving the song to Clay had more to do with Desmond then Jon.
