These Days is my favorite cd of all time and could have been even better if Wedding Day and All I Want Is Everything replaced If That's What It Takes and Diamond Ring. My Guitar and Something To Believe in are classic songwriters songs.

I don't know what's with these tards questioning Jon or Richie's involvment in the songwriting of Crush. Jon had written or co-written(with mainly Richie of course) 60 songs for Crush. 60 songs were written! Come on people what kind of pills are you on? Any fan of Bon Jovi knows how much passion Jon and Richie have for writing songs.

It is a great album. Maybe the reason why some people don't like it is because it isn't a collection of simple pop songs with simple lyrics. Maybe it is just too mature and intelligent for some people
I don't think it has anything to do with maturity.....because Bounce is the most mature album created by Bon Jovi yet.....and I love it....its one of my fav's!!!

I really think that its the tone of the music and lyrics (very down beat).....I guess these days to me, is like Crush to you (KRB), b/c I know you hate it b/c of the style of music.

I have to admit however these days (the song) is an exceptional song, however its only the album as a whole that I dislike.

I think its one of those things where its all opinion

'That was my brother lost in the rubble...'

'C'mon, take me on...'

'I've been knocked down so many times, counted out 6, 7, 8, 9...'

You just keep telling yourself that Bounce is the most mature album and see how many people agree with you...

Look at what its compared to though:

"You lost more than that in my backseat baby"
"You're an all night generator wrapped in stockings and a dress"
"I got my vaccination from a phonograph needle"
"He rides a greyhound from his hometown"
Oh, and from your precious These Days: "There ain't no band aid that can cover my bruise"

See, it's really easy to pick all the bad stuff out from an album- not that I think a sense of fun is a bad thing.

Keep On Rockin'

Yeah how about it....lets see,
Well I know it was written in an Aus article that they thought it was the most mature album yet (the whole style of the music).

As far as these days goes.....just because its down beat doesn't make it mature at all!!!

I would much prefer to hear a positive album that has some catchy lines, than a down beat album all together.

But once again....thats just personal preference

finally some people who like these days!!!!
It's my favourite record for years now, mostly you ony hear negative comments about this records, so THANKX for all the positive ones, I thought I was alone on this one!!!
Something to believe in, my guitar, these days, ....all masterpieces
jon's voice was at his best on this album and the lyrics have depth (something you can't say about crush, I think)
I also was very disappointed when I heard crush, Iwaiting 4 years and then you get that!!!! what a difference!!!!
bounce is not so bad as crush, but it's not that great either, maybe it still has to grow on me?!
but that's just my opinion, clearly there are people who like crush
greetz everyone

These Days is in my opinion the BEST BON JOVI album ever . I love it from A to Z it's a perfect masterpiece all the songs are great , the lyrics are so deep so true musically it's perfect too ... hmmmm.... the best !!
I still don't understand why Jon is often almost apologizing about this one ... it's a fabulous piece of art ....
But I love all their albums after These Days my next fav is Keep the Faith which is brilliant too and then Bounce that I think really excellent ....

These Days is my bible. yeah I love to hear positive upbeat albums but sometimes you just need a bit of something else. These DAys is something else- I couldn't live without it.

I think These Days is ...a great album...yes... a mature album..yes..as I think of all the albums from New Jersey and beyond.

But some people here have their own strange ideas. For example, SOME OF YOU believe that for an album to be MATURE..it has to be slow and lyrically depressing (let's face it, it's a sad album).. But then when you have a much happier and upbeat album like Crush...or Bounce..they just AREN'T MATURE. Can you back this up at all? I think Bounce is their most mature album ever..because it just has this great tone to it..it doesn't lurk around anything..it's upfront..

The majority of people here, I believe, like Bounce. But then those who don't, I believe, DO NOT WANT TO LIKE BOUNCE (though their are some who are FOR REAL) . There are always a few people who, before they buy the album or hear it, think to themselves "I'm not going to like this album".. some people labled "this album sucks" all over Bounce before they even heard it.

These Days is the best Bon Jovi Album ever. All the tracks are fantastic, I never skip any of them. It's just a great sing-a-long, meaningful and brilliant piece of art. I too was really dissapointed when the band released Crush, after that long wait I expected better, but to be honest I don't think the band could top These Days again.
