Honestly, I like TLFR. Personally I liked Wanted, Always, and the Keep the Faith re-makes the best.

you said it

the mood of the album as a whole goes with the flow, not some single song on it. If you want to look at it as a standard popular album of a legendary rock band, its bullshit, its not what the usual enthousiastic rock fan wants, maybe thats why its not that popular.

Its an occasional album to listen to, a lot of it might be depressing.
but its quite mature, simply something else.

like they sacrificed your ego or something...why do you care? its some nice melodies that can aquaint with you from time to time.

Ice is right - I'm a hell of a lot older and I hate it. And I think he is right about why too - they simply butchered those songs for no good reason. It was done quick and dirty and there was nothing of Bon Jovi in the feel or sound of that album. Jon likes to talk about staying true to his roots but (in my opinion) that album was a mistake on his part.

I also disagree with Jon who has said in a few interviews that the fans made him aware that they didn't want their memories messed with. I honestly don't think that has anything to do with it. I am a long time Bruce fan - and he reworks his old stuff all the time - sometimes drastically. And sometimes it's good - and sometimes it sucks but they are his songs and he likes to reinterpret them. He does not however put out an entire album of reworked songs.

This last tour Bon Jovi tried a duet version of IBTFY that was so bad it made me cringe. Richie does a far better job singing it himself which is what they finally settled on. However, Blaze of Glory with Tico's drum intro was a good change. So it's not the change I mind but how well it's done.

IBTFY is definately amongst the worst ones. The "I wasnīt there when you were happy"-part is so bad, it honestly makes me wanna puke.

TLFR is okay. don't spin it very much to be honest though.

I like It's My Life, Bad Medicine, Born To Be My Baby

As far as remakes go, I think they nailed Prayer with Prayer '94.

Agreed... Prayer '94 was nailed. They couldn't have remade it any better. On one note, I really dislike TLFR, but love the version of It's My Life. It's the only one I can really stand.
