They will somehow manage to get 'Sleep When I'm Dead' on there AND 'Bad Medicine'!!!!! They seem reluctant to leave these songs in the past!
I noticed something in the official press release that interested me - it said somewere that TLFR is a 'greatest hits with a difference', so I wouldn't expect many hidden gems (and there are LOADS!) off previous albums to turn up, it will be mainly songs released as singles I would imagine, maybe they will surprise us.
Hidden Gems worth re-working in my opinion are ;
Blame it on the Love of Rock'n'Roll
Save a Prayer
Wild is the Wind (wouldn't this sound good acoustic!)
Something to Believe In
Hearts Breakin Even
If I Was Your Mother
Fear
I'd Die For You (have an acoustic version of this and it rocks!)
However, not sure that these would appeal to what I think the band's record company will see as the target demographic, which is, given that it will get a November release, the casual, sometime fan and the Christmas present market.
On the bright side - at least its a new album with new versions of songs on and not just another Crossroads, plus TWO new songs!! They ought to make it three and put 'Stay' on, still one of the best ballads I have heard from the band. Maybe it will be in the boxset with 'Now and Forever'?
