I know this has been said a million times, but Shanks only produced about half of Have A Nice Day.

I have very mixed emotions towards TLFR. There's stuff I like: IML, Wanted, Everyday, Bad Medicine.

Then there's stuff that is just ok, like Lay Your Hands On Me or BTBMB.

And then there are some of the worst recordings they ever did, like Always and IBTFY. It#s unbelievable what they did to the latter...

Are you saying half the songs on the album? Meaning 6?

Or the entire album was a joint effort with another producer?

The entire album, including the bonus tracks, all sound like they have the same production. Shanks is the dominant producer in regards to the overall outcome.

Wasn't that on the Russian version of the album or something? Never heard it myself.

But the ballads just plod along without much change- Bed Of Roses and I'll Be There For You are pointless and lazy, and just remove all the passion from the original versions.
That's it - especially the ballads come over without any passion (BOR may have a little, though), and they all seem as they wanted it to sound as far (and boring) from the original as possible. Comes over totally forced in its weirdest moments.

Agreed. I would add that LOAP was so horrid that I wanted to throw the cd against the wall and shatter it. But I did and do still like the ones you listed.

I think everyone was expecting a Bon Jovi- Unplugged cd which would have probably been more successful. I do commend them for trying something different but it didn't go far enough. It was interesting to read/listen to the interviews of Jon and the band for this cd. They really did sound enthusiastic and Jon really did expect the producer to produce his next music based on how pleased he was and how successful he thought it would be. I seem to recall that they worked on this 4-6 weeks which is an unusually short time for Jon.

I think i like more the TLFR version of Wanted than the original, sadly it never worked live. Always, I'll Be There For You, It's my life are also great. And Born To Be My Baby it's pretty good.

Yeah, the album in general it's not good but it has some great ideas.
