I really like the version of Wanted, and It's My Life does work better than the original (though I prefer the piano version of Runaway) and the rest I can listen to but like Lost Highway only once every few years in full. I actually really enjoyed it when it was released though I CANNOT listen to that horrible version of I'll Be There For You - what a way to destroy one of the greatest songs ever written. Like any other Bon Jovi album though I judge it by how often I listen to it after the release, and its fair to say its on a par with Lost Highway - which is not really. At all.

I don't hate the album (bar Prayer... maybe the worst thing they've done), but I don't like it either. I see this album like "Bon Jovi for elevators".

Wanted, Bad medicine and Always are personal highlights.

Many people like It's my life, but the ballad version never did something for me.

On the other hand, Thief of hearts or the original Last man standing (love the Borgata version) would have improved it.

Thief Of Hearts is probably one of the worst songs they've ever written.

I love that version, though I wouldn't rate it that high to be honest. There's the acoustic b-side that was released on the Livin in Sin single that is just beautiful and also an acoustic slowed down performance that is to me the best alternative version of the song they've done. It's a great song, the fact that it's overplayed makes us take it for granted, but any version it always shines....

I disagree strongly as well... It's a Tom Petty wannabe, but that is something they have always done well, and TOH's is not exception. I'd take it over LMS any day.

As far as the rest of album goes, Wanted and IML would be welcomed live... as least mix it up with the original from time to time.

Keep the Faith, Everyday, and Bed of Roses are good. The rest varies from okay to just plain bad.

I occasionally hear the acoustic IML on our country's old folks station whilst browsing through the radio in the car.

Always is probably the only song that is okay on the album, as some have said. I will have to give IML another listen, given that a few of you actually enjoyed it. The rest...if I could throw it on a pile of garbage, set fire to it and scatter the ashes to the wind...I would.
