Default This thread is a sanctuary for Bounce lovers

I know what you're thinking. Another appreciation thread. And guess what? You're right!

Sometimes, being a Bounce lover makes me feel alone, because it seems that nobody else likes the album. So, I decided to make this thread a little support group for people who like the album. It's so we don't have to feel so alone. I've had enough of people dissing this album. Let's show some love, here. So go on. Post if you like Bounce. Even just a little bit.

Bounce is the album that made me a fan. When I first got it, I listened to it the whole way through several times a week. I have never done that with any of my other albums. I remember the first time I heard Everyday on VH1 and how I heard most of the songs for the first time before going to a party. I drew my first Bon Jovi pictures listening to Bounce. I also played seven of the songs on the radio back when I was a high school radio DJ.

Sure, Bounce may not be the best album, but I love it, imperfections and all. I challenge anyone to find a person who loves Bounce more than I do. OK, now I'm sounding vain, so I'll stop.

Some of you people who are reading this probably are thinking, "Keba, you suck." Yes, I know that I suck, so you don't have to say it. And guess what? I'M PROUD THAT I SUCK! Some of you may hat the album with a passion, but I will die to defend it. Yes, I am obsessed.

I hope somebody will post a friendly comment on this thread.

Bounce has it's merits....no doubt. It's commonly detracted for not being what it should have been. It was was not the album we were told we were going to get. When the dust settled..again we were left with more crafted product rather than the results of emotional song writing sessions fueled by the still burning fires and smoke of 9/11.

Expectations aside..there is some good stuff on this album. I personally love Right Side of Wrong, The Distance and Hook Me Up. These are the songs that have held up since the albums release.. IMO. I'll admit I get some guilty pleasure from the whole of the album minus the 3 ballads.

That's the extent of positivity you'll get out of me for this album

Subsequent posters should avoid using this thread to flame the album...there has been plenty of that. If you don't have something nice to say about it..there are many more threads in existence that dwell on the negative.

I love the Bounce CD. There are some ballads on it that I typically skip, but I like MOST of it. Overall, it's a good collection. Jon sounds great and Dave gets a chance to shine too.

Sometimes I skip Open All Night and You Had ME From Hello, but otherwise I can happily sit and play it through.

I'm probably the only person who likes "You Had Me From Hello". I think it's sweet. It might be a little too sweet but I still listen to it regulary. Yeah, the only two Bounce tracks I listen to are "You Had Me From Hello" and "The Distance". I always listen to "The Distance" during the first snowfall. I have no idea why. I see snow I think "Oh!" and listen to "The Distance".

Bounce was the first BJ album i owned, Everyday was the first BJ song i heard that got me wanting to know who this band was, and i had that cd on repeat for weeks before moving on to the next BJ album. i'm also one of the few who really like You Had Me From Hello. another favorite from the album, and one of my all-time favorites, is Love Me Back to Life. the only songs i don't care for are Open All Night and Right Side of Wrong.

Even though my initial feeling of "Bounce" when it first came out was that I thought this album could have been....well, more. I admit that I really like parts of it. Favourites I always listen to are Undivided, The Distance, Hook Me Up, Love Me Back To Life and Open All Night. Rest of the songs are, well.... that's for another thread, right?
