Yeah, I have to say I was nervous when I bought Bounce as Crush really wasn’t the sort of stuff I enjoyed in the main, but I have to say it restored my faith that these guys could still write great rock tracks. I am one of the few that love bounce, granted the ballads are a little bit cheesy but the only one that makes me want to hurt random people in the street is “Joey”, I don’t know why they are so fond of it and seem to play it at every opportunity. The rest is top quality… “Hook me up”, “The Distance” and “Undivided” being the stand out tracks for me… I would be more than happy if the next album is of the same quality!

BOOOOUUUUUUUNNNNNNNCCCCCEEEEEE!
I think it's a good rock n roll album. Ok so the ballads aren't the greatest ever but the simple but clever riffs are class! It's certainly not the worst record. And what about Undivided and The DIstance live? they should definetly stay in the setlist!

yeah, undivided, the distance, hookmeup and everyday are great songs (well, in comparison to the rest of 'new' bon jovi')

however, i dont think this is enough to warrant, in my humbel opinion, the title of 'great album'! a truely great album i feel has to have more or less every song a great one, and flow well, like These days, KTF, New Jersey etc, and very little ''filler tracks''. Bounce is littered with these and they bring the album down i think.

but il respect this thread and say that, yeah, bounce has some great tracks on it. doesnt make a great album tho

Bounce is just amazing i love it, it is honestly my favourite album. I heard crush and i was so disapointed it sucked. I thought that it was the end for bon jovi but when bounce came out i just thought yes they are back. Its is an album i keep on listening to over and over and i have had it two years. I heard crush once and wasnt bothered about litening to it again.

Undivided : great way to start an album

Everyday: Great pop rock song with a good chorus

The Distance: I love it

Joey: i wasnt so keen when i first heard it but it has growed on me like so many others and i love it now.

Misunderstood: brill chorus i just love it.

All about loving you: great song very meaningful

Hook me Up: Just get me ready for the GYM

Right side of wrong: great story of a song master piece.

Love me back to life: totally shocking it is awful song the beginning sounds like a crap version of the distance.

You had me from hello: Just a another good relaxing song with good lyrics

Bounce: Just ACE i cant believe they didnt release it as a single.

Open all Night: the guitar solo speaks for it self, not hard solo but very effective.

Overall i am the official Bon jovi No 1 Bounce lover it is the best album they have ever done and they will never make a better one FACT

It's My Life and the Crush album did exactly the same for me as Everyday and Bounce did for you Keba. It's a great feeling when something like that happens. Crush isn't the best Bon Jovi album, but I still think it's a great album.

As for Bounce then I don't think it's a great album, but it is definately a good album. The ballads suck in my view, and also do on Crush, but some of the other songs are really well written such as Undivided, Misunderstood, Joey, The Distance and Right Side of Wrong. Perhaps these songs were all produced in a more pop genre than rock, but hey they are still well written and they are worthy of Bon Jovi as songwriters. I just want the new album to be a little heavier. :P

I love that song. I don't like AALY or OAN, but I do like that ballad. I think it's very sweet and romantic and not over the top.

I agree with you there, Becky. I could live without AALY, and OAN is OK, but I think YHMFH is a good song. I like the dreamy feel to it. And I gotta say, it takes guts to say how much you love a person. I think it's nice that the band has exposed their gentle side. It makes them seem more human.

I love Bounce aswell.
I think it's a great album with a few things I would change (like the inclusion of no regrets and the dismisal of AALY) but I listen to it all the way through and really think it's a good solid album with lacking solos.
