You know, a month ago I'd have been agreeing with everyone here who hates this album. But, I'm listening to the Borgata Webcast tonight and I'm really enjoying it. I remember Becky saying that hearing the songs live gave them a whole new life...now I understand. It was different, and it wasn't the acoustic album I wanted so I wasn't too open minded about it. But now that I'm really hearing the songs, not just listening to them, I'm really liking them. (Except for BTBMB, nothing but the original will ever cut it for me with that one...). I'm not saying it's my new favorite, I just don't hate it like I used to anymore.

Plus the way I see it, one more left turn and they've gone in a complete square back at These Days!

I like TLFR but I wouldn't say their not a commercial smiling band anymore. Just look at the booklet. Some pics are just ridiculous.

Aloha !

Funny how everyone's always happy when Bon Jovi's at the number one spot. Comments like "They've proven to be a real band that's got steady succes and all that" or "They need to make big hits otherwise they'll lose their record deal and they can never make new records" And now suddenly people are saying "I don't care about the charts..."

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I felt the same way when I listened to Borgata, it changed my view also
and made me interested in the album .

What's so good about Borgata? I've seen the TV-version of it and it was boring as hell. There were couple parts where it seemed good (ie. Jon screaming) but mostly I was falling asleep. TLFR sucks.

Im hoping Borgarta will be more like the extra DVD on TLFR as opposed to the album

it was live Ice and I enjoyed it , it sounded much better than the album version, the live performance gave it some edge, TLFR is no SWW /These Days etc but it definately sounded better live to me.

I was at the Borgata and it was anything but sleepy. I too agree the songs really came alive in those versions and just wait until you see Sylvia's Mother and the two new songs.
