I think it is very telling that the BonJovi.Com site had nothing posted of the shows as of 6pm today. If these shows were so great I think they would be saying....well....anything about them.

Telling on a Sunday?????
After two amazing Giants shows I seem to remember On The Road was not updated for several days. I am sure the news will be updated tomorrow.

Okay, another person who was at both shows. I sat in the risers for Friday night and at a third row table for Saturday night. I LOVED the shows. I sat Friday night because I thought we had to but for Saturday I stood the whole night and danced. I'm not fat. I might be old if 39 is old and I found Jon's performance of Bad Name incredibly enticing. I didn't see the discomfort in performing the songs from Jon or any of the guys. Yes, Friday started out with Jon stopping Living On A Prayer because of the key. But, I thought he seemed very into the songs. I really like TLFR though so maybe my opinion is worthless to those that don't like the record. To me, hearing the two new songs and Slyvia's Mother was worth the price of my ticket. But, that's just me. I have been a fan since 1985 when I went to see the opening act, yes the opening act, Bon Jovi. They were opening for Ratt. So, I don't know what that makes me because I know I'm in the minority here with saying I LOVE TLFR but I do. I love the arrangements and I love Jon's singing. SHOOT ME!!

I don't want to shoot you, I just want to grab you and shake you real hard until you wake up. You, and the other person who was at the shows, have forgotton that Jon mentioned that he was sorry for being off on Friday night. It was bad, and if I hadn't paid so much for the tickets I would have left on Friday and not gone on Saturday.
I had my office soundproofed a few years ago. Becuase of this, I knew I could get away with playing DVD's of different concerts all week. Even some of the bad shows from late in the New Jersey Tour when they weren't speaking were more energetic than this. I know this was a DVD shoot and Jon was supposed to stay in the same spot most of the time. But, he had three basic moves involving shaking his ass and nothing else to contribute. I have been to over 100 shows in the last 18 years and every time I was tired when I left from watching Jon run around. This time I was tired when I left.....out of boredom.
These shows were bad, the songs are bad. Read the posts on this board and there in enough evidence from the harcore fans to prove that. Your non-fan may like the album. Is that who they want to appeal to? Is that what thay wanted? Get rid of the fans that have devoted years and tens of thousands of dollars to them....gladly I may add, just to please the aging house fraus that may fall for this Tom Jones-ish sellout. You continue to like this crap, good for you. But, I will not follow them down the road to the state-fair circiut when this trash fails live.

Am I the only one on this board that has questioned whether jallard is bogus?

Yeah, the whole comeback would be that because he was so negative about the album and concert that I assume he's lying and how dare I..blah blah.

It's not that simple.....his statements just don't add up and is trying too hard to exaggerate everything negative about the album and the show. For someone that hates the album that much, they sure went to a lot of trouble and money to go see it performed live...which is how this show was advertised.

If I were that put off by a show by one of my favorite bands to the point of swearing them off....I wouldn't be on this board trying my best to refute the favorable reviews from others who were at the same show....I'd simply focus on other bands that were doing things more to my liking.

Take it with a grain of salt people. Anyway, this is about the extent of energy I'm going to put into this....this is more a call to others to see if others are just as much in doubt as I am for the same reason.

No. I was reading this entire topic and was planning to put a reply under it in which I was doubting about Jallard and all his comments. I totally agree with all his opinions about the show as I saw it on the webcast, but I doubt it if he really has been there...

I remember myself thinking the same way back then.

If anyone else was there they are free to ask me any questions that would only be known to someone who was at the show......I'll be happy to answer. I have been very specific about events that happened at the show, and things that Jon said. Since most of the events that I have talked about have been from Friday.....Friday was the worst of the two shows, I could not have seen them of a webcast. I am very real, I was at the shows. I never said that I was no longer a fan, I have said that I was sad with what I saw and I am very leary of what is to come from the band. I do not know the backgrounds of all the people who post here.....but I can say that I have dedicated more time and money to this band than most. I think we should all be scared with what is to come.....unless you want to see this act for the next couple of tours, until they are put on the state-fair circuit with their buddies the Goo Goo Dolls (6 state fairs this Summer).
What I find the most funny about all of you people is that very few of you have disagreements with my facts and/or opinions. You all try to pick apart singular things and discredit me.....noone has done that yet. The last one that was tried was to ask how I am real if I baught tickets to these shows if I knew what I was getting. I do not know about you....but I didn't have the album when tickets went on sale. I also never listened to the snippets on the website. I remembered that before the Bounce record they did the same thing and it was a poor representation. Because I didn't want to get any pre-conceived notions I waited until after the album went on sale. Again...that was well AFTER tickets went on sale. Deal with it people....this album sucks, and I am very real. You can say whatever you want to me, or about me. I will not go away...and I will not change my mind.
