Default Today Show performance

The guys sounded AWESOME on the Today Show. They did "My Funny Valentine" and "Misunderstood." Jon put a sultry and sexy spin on his vocals. The whole band was there plus Lorenza Ponce. I don't know why the official site and the Today Show are calling it a Jon & Richie performance. Matt interviewed Jon and Richie and asked about how romantic they were. Jon said he was romatic by guy standards, but wasn't sure he met his wifes expectations (paraphrasing, not a quote). Richie said he had to date his wife. Jon's best gift to Dorothea was getting out of the house (he was laughing when he said it). LOL He said it made sending flowers easier because then he wouldn't get beat up if the flowers weren't good enough. Richie's best gift to Heather was a Porche. Matt asked if Jon and Richie were at the point where they could read each others minds and finish each others sentences and they said yeah. Matt said they (Jon and Richie) had spent 20 Valentine's Days together and Richie said, "Happy Valentine's Day, Jon" and Jon said, "Katie should be doing this interview." But Jon, Richie, and Matt had a mini group hug--as much of a group hug as you'll see from three men! LOL It was a lighthearted and entertaining segment. I can't wait to hear the guys do My Funny Valentine tomorrow night. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they will keep it in the set list!

Thanks for posting, Becky. It's a pity that we can't receive the show here anymore even though we have NBC (Europe).

Something else I picked up on the 2nd time I watched it was that Richie said he'd been married 9 years. Since they got married in 12-1994, it's only been 8. Oops! I hope Heather wasn't watching! Of course, Jon said he'd lost count!

Hi:
This performance kind of weirded me out. They said he was going to perform "All About Love". Then they play Love Me Back To Life before a commerical break, and then when he performs he does "the new single, Misunderstood." What's going on? Have they delayed AALY? Is it now AAL? Why did they play LMBTL?

Of course i missed it. and there was even a school cancellation, so i would've been able to see it if i would've known. My mom saw it though when she was at work when her assisstant saw that it was on. So she watched it and told me it was pretty good. I wish i would've seen it though - but hey, i can live without it, i think.

Sounds really great though!

Well, at least Richie took a shot at guessing how long he's been married -- while Jon just said he'd lost count. So you gotta give Richie credit for the effort.

Thanks for posting!

The band didn't play LMBTL before the commercials. The Today Show used the recorded version as a background while showing the audience outside.

Misunderstood is still the current single in the USA.
