Same here. But then again: I guess we don't act too old.
indeed we don't

I swear I am still a teenager
Well then, I guess that's makes three of us! I'm liking Green Day a lot these days. I've never heard them played on the radio more than they are now. My top 40 station, adult contemporary, rock and alternative stations all play them regularly.

I am with you guys then. I think American Idiot is their most popular album to date. Not to mention the whining singing voice is no longer, which is a good thing. I really like them and thought they did great at Live 8.

I guess I'm the oldest teenager here and I love American Idiot. I was able to get the uncut version of stuff from MTV and vh1 yesterday and enjoyed the hell out of Green Day.

I admit I thought Green Day had dropped off the face of the earth too. I was VERY suprised that American Idiot has done so well. I didn't realize they were still around or anyone cared about them anymore. I haven't heard a song from them since that--oh, damn, the title is escaping me--the one that's acoustically based and was VH-1 all the time.

30 is not kind. LOL

I too was surprissed that Green Day brought out the most successful album of their career. I used to listen to them thinking almost every song sounded the same. The same distorted guitar riffs, and the same structure for almost every song. There hasn't been any major differences muscially, but lyrically there has been major differences. A lot of the songs represent a purpose that many believe in and that always helps.
