NEW JERSEY
Finally it is time for the results of Jovitalk's favourite album, as voted by us during the album rankings. The album narrowly bet These Days, which was the 2008 album winner.
In total, 44 people ranked the tracks of New Jersey - the most amount of voters we've ever had since starting Track Rankings. Another record statistic is that New Jersey is the only album ranked with no tracks receiving a score of zero. Every single voter gave every single song at least 1 point. That is an accomplishment not even These Days achieved.

#12. Ride Cowboy Ride
[106 Points]
Was it fair to put Ride Cowboy Ride as a track in it's own right? Probably not, but here it is anyway. As expected, it comes in last place with nearly a third of people giving it a score of 2 or lower. Some people said the track is more of an intro into Stick To Your Guns rather than a song itself. With this mentality you would think Ride Cowboy Ride would be ranked the worst song of all the tracks ranked so far, right? Well in actual fact there are seven songs which scored even worse than Ride Cowboy Ride - they are She's A Mystery, I Could Make a Living Out Of Loving You, Fast Cars, Wildflower, Social Disease, King of the Mountain and Woman In Love.

#11. 99 In The Shade
[146 Points]
In eleventh place we have 99 In The Shade, which actually drops a position since it was last ranked in 2008. Why does 99 In The Shade always finish at the lower end of these kinds of things? Is it because it has too much competition on the New Jersey album? Or is it just the simple fact that its not a well liked song? Whatever it is, the song has at least one fan who gave it a top score of 12 (the only song in the bottom five to do so). 75% of voters gave the song a score of 4 or less.

#10. Love For Sale
[151 Points]
It didn't beat 99 In The Shade by much, but it was enough for it to overtake it in final votes - Love For Sale comes in at position #10. The slight rise in popularity could be because the song was featured several times during the 2010/2011 Circle tour. It is a very unique track, not like any other on a Bon Jovi album. It's most received score was a 2.

#9. Homebound Train
[221 Points]
With a big jump in votes from the bottom 3, Homebound Train comes in at #9. Like Love For Sale, Homebound Train also featured a return to the setlist on the last tour. It wasn't enough for it to jump any places though, as it finishes in the same place it did in 2008. It's most received score was a 4. Some said it was a very under rated song, but it seems most agree that it doesnt stand up to the quality of the rest of the album.

#8. Lay Your Hands On Me
[285 Points]
Marking another jump in points, and the first single to appear in this round of ranking is Lay Your Hands On Me. With a killer intro and a great guitar riff, it seems a crime that it doesn't rank higher. Last time it was ranked it finished one place higher in 7th position. The song did score well though, receiving an average vote of 7. Perhaps the real question is Do you prefer Richie or Jon's live version?

#7. Bad Medicine
[288 Points]
One of the most well known Bon Jovi songs in their catalogue - and arguably the most well known on the album - Bad Medicine rounds off the bottom half of tracks in place #7. The track finishes one place higher than it did in 2008 with an spray of scores, including an even amount of 10s, 9s, 7s, 5s and 3s. The song doesnt rank too well however amongst other lead singles. Compared to how other lead singles ranked on their respective albums, Bad Medicine sits in last place on the lead single table. This could be however, due to tough competition on New Jersey.

#6. Stick To Your Guns
[312 Points]
Kicking off the top half of New Jersey is Stick To Your Guns in position #6. Finishing in the same place it did in 2008, the song scored very well with an average vote of 10. The song also managed to grab two top scores of 12 along the way. It is one of only four songs on the album to not receive a lowest score of 1.

#5. Living In Sin
[329 Points]
Dropping a place since 2008, but still finishing quite high is Living In Sin. Released as the fifth and final single of the album, Living In Sin finishes one place lower than what it did in 2008. Although the track didn't receive a standout average high score, it received a general spray of high scores - It received nearly equal amounts of 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s and 11s.

#4. Born To Be My Baby
[357 Points]
In 2008, Born To Be My Baby finished just 3 points behind Living In Sin. Four years later, not only has the song overtaken Living In Sin, but it has done so by a fair amount - 28 points to be exact. It was the second single off the album and was unlucky and surprising to not be included on the first greatest hits release "Cross Road" by the band. Five people ranked it as their favourite song on the album, while most other people gave it a score of 9 or 10.

#3. Wild Is The Wind
[403 Points]
Cracking the top 3 and also hitting the 400+ point mark is track #7 - Wild Is The Wind. The track actually scored more top votes of 12 and 11 than the song in second place, however a few lower scores of 2 and 5 kept it in bronze position. To the delight of Jovitalkers, Wild Is The Wind seems to be in rotation on the Because We Can tour so far.

#2. I'll Be There For You
[409 Points]
Just scraping past Wild Is The Wind by 6 points is I'll Be There For You. It became the band's fourth and (as of yet) final #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Nearly 75% of people ranked I'll Be There For You in their personal top 4 songs on New Jersey. The song becomes the second highest ranked ballad for its respective album (behind only Make a Memory for Lost Highway). It's most received score was an 11.

#1. Blood On Blood
[425 Points]
And so, we are left with Blood On Blood, taking out the golden medal on New Jersey. You would think it would have been a tight battle for top spot, but a winning margin of 16 is pretty impressive for any album, especially New Jersey. Despite not being released as an official single, the song did have an official video clip released - albeit a live performance of the song. Perhaps the most impressive statistic of the round is that nearly 50% of voters ranked Blood On Blood as their favourite song on the album. For a song to get that many top votes on the top voted album is quite and impressive achievement. A well deserving winner.
