AMAZING - Masterpieces:
12.Superman Tonight - One of their best chorus they ever done. I love lyrics on this one. Great Jons voice in chorus. Very emotional song. I love title also.
11.Love's The Only Rule - very modern rock song. Fantastic artistic lyrics. Should be single.
10.Happy Now - I love lyrics, voice and music. Great rocker.
09.BrokenPromiseLand - very original song. Brilliant.

VERY Good:
08.Work For The Working Man - it's very typical 80's Bon Jovi song. I like it very much. Lyrics are in the same level like Livin On A Prayer. Great live song. Solo is short but fantastic.
07.We Werent Born To follow - I love title. I was dissapointment when I heard this song. I thought that this be revolution anthem like "Another Brick In The Wall". But this is another IML clone. Another great clone but i thought it will be more KTFaith than IML on this one. Song is good. And It was beautiful to see it at "end comunism" anniversary in Germany. It' also work well in slowly acoustic version.
06.Thorn In My Side - most overrated song from The Circle on this board. It works very good live. I like it.
05.When We Were Beautiful - This song can be included on These Days. I like lyrics contest of this one, very nostalgic. Demo version recorded by Billy Falcon is also very good.

Ok:
04.Fast Cars - Very "Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol" style of song. I like it. It's nice to listen. Nothing special.
03.Live Before You Day - very The Beatles storytelling song. It's like many form Bounce ballads but much better. Second part of song is better.
02.Bullet - I never loved this one. It's ok. Very Keep The Faith type of song.
01.Learn To Love - second most overrated song from The Circle here. Boring. I love only lyrics "You have got to learn to love the world you live in"

After listening it another time now I don't like it as much I like it from the first listenings in 2009. Maybe it's not the same dissapointment like when I was listening Keep The Faith Or These Days (which was really hard to listen now - boring) but I thougt I will like it better. It's good album with 4 masterpieces and other some good stuff. I think that BJ wanted to write songs connectet with their other albums from past like Bullet (Keep The Faith), Work For The Working Man (Slippery When Wet) or When We Were Beautiful (These Days). It's makes that songs sound different to each other on this one and it's good for me.

How is it original? The verses are on the melody of All Along The Watchtower by Bob Dylan and the chorus is, once again, a rip off from It's My Life. There's really nothing original about it?

Right. Those two are practically identical, exepct for the fact they aren't at all.

Unless you are talking about the whole lyrical approach... which again, is (considering the typical BJ context) not especially close.

The song is not very original, but let's not get carried away.

This album depresses me, to be honest. The three or four songs I have listed at the top but other than that it's far, far from good.

It's original in Bon Jovi catalogue. How often they ripp Dylan??
I don't hear similarity in chorus to It's My Life. Not more than similarity to Bon To Be My Baby or Keep The Faith.
Lyrically - Angels, brokenpromiseland.. it's looks more like Iron Maiden/Rhapsody lyrics than Bon Jovi to me.

One of the weakest Jovi records. The first three songs are still on my mp3-player. I barely listen to the rest of the record.

So now they're even identical? Weird how they don't even use the same chord sequence then.

I get what you mean, but using bullshit exaggerations like "it's a rip off!" or "they're identical" is not doing you any favors.

Also, I just remembered:
"This Is Love, This Is Life" was originally written (with different lyrics I guess) for The Circle and would've probably been my top pick if it were eligible.
