I'm with you. I may not voluntarily listen to it that often anymore, but when I do, it never disappoints.

I already provided my track rankings, but i didn't share much beyond that. I would like to add, that this album, represents summer for me, if that makes any sense. On a hot summer day, the 1 album i instantly turn to and blast for the whole neighborhood to hear is SWW. Also, while i do enjoy Let It Rock, and it does have a killer keyboard intro, on these particular occasions I always go straight for You Give Love A Bad Name. When I grew up, my parents played nothing louder than they'd play the big 3 on our stereo. I will never tire of the big three, at least on record. Sad thing is all 3 have lost a lot of power live over the years. Prayer still kills live, and everyone loves Wanted. I'd never complain about Bad Name being in the set list, b/c it's always going to be there, and it serves it's purpose. It's just, as someone mentioned, when they go on the talk show circuit and always play Bad Name and it doesn't have half the energy it did in 1986. Also, people often point to New Jersey as an improvement on SWW. I love New Jersey, but i have to disagree. Yes, they expanded lyrically, and they did diversify musically, but it doesn't always work, at least in my opinion. SWW is their masterwork of the 80's. I'd even argue it's the master work of their career. I love These Days, and it probably changes with the days what album i'd rank at number 1, but when it gets right down to it, when i think Bon Jovi, I think Slippery When Wet. And while i wouldn't quite qualify this as a rant; rant over...

Just wondering because there does seem to be a few who are more favourable towards 80s output and those who prefer the 90s albums. I am the latter myself, but it's always interesting to get the other perspective. While I can't look past 'These Days' as the best album, I would put 'New Jersey' as joint second favourite along with '7800' (extremely weird but I love that album).
It's strange cos after Always was released for Cross roads I was really excited about Bon Jovi part II. Then they released TAALS and I knew that These Days would be a slow album. I didn't expect it to be dark but didn't really enjoy it. They were at their biggest (in UK) around 95/96 and TD didn't sound right for me. I like the album a lot more now than I did then.

7 - Raise Your Hands
6 - Never Say Goodbye
5 - I'd Die for You
4 - Wild in the Streets

"Prayer" for me is timeless. I love it on the album and I can’t imagine any show without it. I enjoy it always and I just love when the crowd goes wild on it during the shows. Same goes for WDOA and YGLABN, I don’t get tired of them at all.
And RYH has grown the most on me after seeing it a couple of times live. Before that it was just Ok, but now I think it’s fantastic rocker.

WOW that was hard. I'd probably come up with a different list tomorrow, too. It's just such a great album. I almost feel bad for having some of those songs towards the bottom because they're still great, but it had to be done.

EDIT: I just realized, I got all of my top 5 songs on this list at Dublin night 2. Hell yeah.

JOVITALK TRACK RANKINGS 2012 RESULTS

SLIPPERY WHEN WET

Well another big round of voting with 40 people participating again. It was a mighty battle for first place, with the lead changing constantly throughout the voting period. We voted Slippery When Wet as the 4th best Bon Jovi album, and now here's how we voted on its tracks.

~

#10. Social Disease
[59 Points]

It never stood a chance really. With the exception of just one person, everyone ranked Social Disease in their bottom 3. In fact nearly 70% of us rank it as the worst song on the album. It now stands in second place as the least loved track on an album at 14.8%. The only song to score worse was She's A Mystery from Crush which is just 0.1% behind on 14.7%.

~

#9. Without Love
[116 Points]

Still way behind the rest of the pack but well ahead of 10th, Without Love comes in at 9th. It did manage to score a few higher votes of 8 and 7, but unfortunately its main score was a 3. The consensus was that Without Love and Social Disease should have been replaced by Edge of a Broken Heart and Borderline.

~

#8. Let It Rock
[167 Points]

In 8th place is Let It Rock which also finishes well ahead of the bottom songs but far behind the rest of the album. It's interesting to note that although the track received a single vote of 0, it did not receive any 1 voters - meaning only 1 person ranks Let it Rock as the worst track on the album. Let It Rock now becomes the lowest ranked opening track on the albums ranked so far (Undivded #1, It's My Life #1, Runaway #1, In & Out of Love #4, Lost Highway #4, Let It Rock #8.)

~

#7. Wild In the Streets
[202 Points]

Despite finishing far ahead of the bottom 3 tracks, some may be surprised by how low Wild In The Streets finishes. Overall, its main score received was a mere 4. It did however score a fair few high scores including the top vote of 10. It falls two places since 2008 where it finished in 5th place.

~

#6. Raise Your Hands
[218 Points]

Rounding out the bottom half in 6th place is Raise Your Hands. The song was often used as an opener during the second half of The Circle/Open Air tour - a good thing considering a few people said the song works very well live. It finishes one place higher than what it did in 2008. It's average score was a 5.

~

#5. Never Say Goodbye
[226 Points]

The first major Jovi ballad swoons in at position #5. Never Say Goodbye finishes in the middle of the pack with an average score of 6. Some may have expected it to finish in the top 4 but it falls just short despite moving up one place from its 6th place finish in 2008.

~

#4. I'd Die For You
[234 Points]

In at #4 is I'd Die For You. It seems the fans of the track will take this as a win considering there were a fair few 'lesser fans' of the song. In fact I'd Die For You recieved more lower scores than NSG, RYH and WITS with six 2s. The reason it finished so high? It received the 3rd most top scores of 10 on the album. I'd Die For You had the most even spread of votes with a nearly equal amount of 10s, 7s and 2s.

~

#3. You Give Love a Bad Name
[272 Points]

Rolling in to take out bronze is the band's first ever #1 song in the States - You Give Love a Bad Name. With the exception of a vote of 1, the song received nothing lower than a 4. It's most recieved score was an impressive 8. The song did recieve a fair bit of critism though, mainly directed at its loss of flare when performed live.

~

#2. Livin' on a Prayer
[342 Points]

What!? Prayer didn't win!? Shock horror! It has been debated endless times on the board as to which song is better between Prayer or Wanted. Several people always claim Wanted is better, but when it comes down to it Prayer always wins the polls and competitions (including the 2008 version of track rankings). However, Prayer finally comes in second best this time around. Exactly 90% of us rank the song in the top 4 songs on the album, with 35% of us ranking as #1. Despite a vote of 4 and 2, the song received nothing lower than a 6.

~

#1. Wanted Dead or Alive
[345 Points]

SO CLOSE! It was a nail biter all the way til the end but Wanted beats Prayer by just 3 points. It is quite bizarre at how similar the voting was for the top 2 songs. Out of 40 votes, only 3 of them differ (check the tally below). Other than those 3 votes, both songs scored exactly the same. The song finished with a percentage of 86.3 which puts it in equal third place with Any Other Dayas the stand out track on an album. The only songs ahead are Make a Memory on 86.5% and Undivded on 93.2%
