This morning the station said they sent the mix to the band. I hope Jon doesn't listen to it - I'm not sure he'd like the idea of his song being interrupted by George Bush!

Wasn't it Jon who defended President Bush at the Denver show a week or so ago against the actions taken by Pearl Jam's Eddie Vedder?

It is in the USA where the dominant attitude is pro-war. George Bush's latest approval ratings were at 80%. That's not to get into a political discussion, just letting you know that their song being used patriotically isn't going to hurt them in the USA which is where it's being played.

What were the actions of Eddie Vedder? I do know he's been quite vocal in his protests against the war.

Eddie Vedder took a doll of President Bush's head and stabbed it to a stake along with some Eddie-Vedder-esque diatribe during their performance in Denver (and probably elseware as well...) two days (I think) prior to Bon Jovi performing in that stadium. So Jon said "**** you" to Eddie and some other people at their show when they played The Distance (I think it was before the distance).
That's the story anyway

Whatcha think of that?

Personally, I like Eddie Vedder's antics. I think it would've been cool to see him do that. But hey, that's just me.

Strange... A few weeks ago Jon appeared in a Vote Gore T-shirt at a concert and now he allows a great song to be used as Bush/war propaganda s h i t? I don't get it.

Jon didn't allow anything. The station did it, and sent it to him. the station playing had no approval
