What a steaming bag of putrid shite that was.

Awful sound, Richie was way too low in the mix. The whole thing was cheap and nasty. The final insult was the absolute sickening edit that KTF got.

Both Richie's solos were cut into nothingness, the last solo was so badly cut down I turned the show off.

Don't bother watching

KTF & WDYG were edited to pieces.

It was a horrible cringey programme.

The interview (what there was) was boring.

Fearne Cotton with a groundbreaking interview, she might as well ask whats your favourite colour? Just didnt see the point of any of it. Cant see it selling many more tickets.
Cant call it horrible but it just wasnt very exciting if you compare it to the mtv acoustic show from "back when they were beautiful".

I am really disappointed the way they showed it yesterday. They left out IBTFY and WWBTF. I hate how they cut KTF! I agree the interview was totally pointless but I suppose they were trying to target the casual fan.

Anyway, it was a lot more fun having been there in person than what and how they showed last night.

My initial thoughts on it:

It's good to see them on TV and NOT on the X-Factor.

The interview segments were completely pointless.

Jon sounded bad and looked like he struggled a lot. His enunciation during 'It's My Life' in particular was pitiful and it just sounded like a complete mangle of random syllables in places.

Richie's vocals saved the songs and he sounded quite strong vocally.

The editing was absolutely diabolical.

The audience were great and seemed to really get into the show.

All in all, it was good to see them on the box but if they were going to cut it to ribbons like that, I'd sooner they not have bothered airing it (or perhaps just aired fewer songs)... and to finish on WSYCGH? That was the final insult for me tico_stick.

I turned it off before they even played the first chord.

Dreadful mix. The drums were far too high in the mix and sounded like they were bleeding over into the other mics. Richie's guitars were barely audible through all the lead sections and the vocals were all over the place.

I turned over and watched the rest of the Robert Plant gig, which sounded perfect and made ITV/the band look like amateurs.

The band sounded really great live.

They did but the awful mix ruined it. You could get together the best band of session musicians the world has ever seen and then complete butcher the levels and they'd sound terrible.

I don't know whether it was a conscious thought to drop the guitars down for a dumbed-down audience or just a horrible mess, but it didn't work. I'd also like the point out that this isn't the first time this has happened; the Radio 2 show the other day was exactly the same.
