He is the keyboard player! Oh, and I don't know why someone was criticising IML - the only demos on their site are LOAP and a couple of guitar solos which are actually f**kin good! Dunno what trib site tommythewho visited but I don't think it was this one - not a video in sight!

Perhaps look on the bottom of the post Jim, the button that says WWW, the one that shows for anyone who puts a website in their profile :P

And you're UKs top BJ tribute band? For me you sound like a school band.
The singing was fine IMO save for some incredibly minor imperfections. The only bit that was markedly under par was after the modulation in LOAP.

Students of London's drum-tech or an ACM are pretty much the creme de la creme of performers in the UK, did you even listen to the samples?

as already pointed out IML isn't even on there.

I'd be interested to know how much musical experience both recorded and live you have to be able to put over such an opinion.

I saw we're talking about different bands. The page I was checking, which I got from the freezezone board, is here: http://www.skyhighrocks.com/crush/media.html

There you will find videos and the medias I have been talking about.

And Jim: Playing for 15 years and playing in a band since 10 years makes me say I have experiences ok?

I can agree on Crush - I don't think they can compete at all for the crown of UK Number 1 BJ tribute but then, to be honest, no claims of that title can be taken seriously cos EVERY band claims it - it's ridiculous! Each band has it's songs that it plays well and not so well, so who judges and who bestows the title of "UK's best" upon these acts other than their own overbloated opinions of themselves?

Wait till we get our drummer back from holiday and get gigging finally, is all I can say - we'll let the music speak for itself. We don't plan on wasting time 'claiming' we're great - that ain't our job, that's the audience's. The tribute we pay to the music does that for us and, in a way I guess, proves that we play simply for the love of the music itself and not for our own personal glory!

I'll let you know when we're on the gig-scene soon - watch this space.......

Singer tries too much to sound like Jon and fails to "open" the sound. The guitar solos are ok, but LOAPs ending is wrong and Let It Rock is struggling in all the tapping-parts. The overall sound is very cardboard-y, the drums on LOAP and IDFY are too compressed and the guitar sound isn't "rock" enough.

He didn't did he? He merely pointed out the fact that one person didn't seem to know what everyone-else was talking about and that tommythewho was wrongly slagging the poster of this topic off for something that wasn't even related to him just because nobody-else had anything positive to say about the band!
