Well, they are going to perform! Doesn't look like Richie's there though. So far, we've got Hugh and Bobby lingering around the set, couldn't see David or Tico but I'd assume they were there! But it sounds like it's only going to be Jon on the couch.

The interview:

A very stubbly Jon, looking very cool. A little bitter about the Wembley fiasco still. Tour starts in January. Make's his kids wear nametags so he knows who they are lol! Practice makes perfect when it comes to marriage, he got it right first time around. They'll continue to make records for the next 24 years, but maybe not so much touring. To be successful, keep dreaming and work hard. It's tough having a talent, when people become famous for nothing. To be cool - always have sunglasses, a cup of coffee, and don't buy a mini van. Of course he appreciates the fans who queue up for the concert's. He wants to do some more acting.

That's the jist of it. Not one mention of Richie though. A "he's doing well, thanks for the support" or a "he'll be at the O2" would have been nice.

The performance:

Ok, so we have Jon, Tico, David, Hugh and Bobby, and it's Make A Memory. Bobby doing backing vocals, looking more lifeless than Hugh ever has. The guitar solo was pretty lifeless too. A shot of Tico looking extremely cool as always. A pissed-off looking David, probably wondering why he wasn't doing the backing vocals. And probably hoping Richie is back soon.

Ok, so it isn't the most up-tempo song in the world but this performance was pretty dull. Compare it to earlier performances and you'd see what I mean. It just shows how bad they would miss Richie if he didn't come back.

Look will everyone please stop slating Bobby? The band probably don't want too much attention drawn to him, which is why is plays as he does, in a 'dull' but competent way.

Bobby is there to play, not to perform. There is a difference. You gotta admit things would be different if he was named as an official replacement for Richie, God forbid.

Im pretty sure the guitar solo was not performed live, bobby was just strumming chords i think.

I noticed that too. He looked alike he suddenly realised he was supposed to 'mime' it about halfway through.
