I'm gonna disagree with everyone here as I thought Lost Highway sounded absolutely terrible, weak as piss and I can't believe anyone is saying otherwise. I don't mind the song on record but this was embarrassing, It's My Life on the other hand sounded fairly rocking and ok. Like many have said, it's not the song I would have chosen but they at least slightly redeemed themselves after the horrendous LH.

I noticed again that JBJ looked incredibly bored throughout. Whenever he does any kind of promo stuff whether it be interviews on TV or performances it always looks a chore and like he has had a charisma bypass operation. In the end it defeats the object as it would actually put me off buying his stuff!

I wouldnt be surprised if Jon was bored the show was bloody awful, thank god for fast forwarding on Sky Plus!

As for shows to perform on, theres not a great deal of choice on nowadays now CDUK and TOTP have bit the dust. The channel 4 shows seem not to want to know (too cool), and theres not a lot left. A Jovi special on the X Factor would help (Regardless of the credibility, its the same as American/Canadian Idol and is watching by plenty of single-buying youngsters). Even Strictly Come Dancing results has a performance! I personally dont care if its on the worst show ever, if it gets BJ exposure to X million people then its all good with me! But dammit Jovi get on Top Gear!!!

I went to the rehearsal and Jon's vocals sounded way better then than on the live show. The rehearsal was done in one go, they did the 2 songs together at the beginning then left. According to a post on Backstage someone saw JBJ nipping out for a fag before IML on the live show, dunno if that made a difference to some of the higher notes.

Also, it was a shame that the guitars weren't live. Don't know why as Hard-Fi were totally live, where Jovi were just the vocals with a backing track.

Well at least sth to keep people away from that horrible music.
LH sounds shitty because it is a shitty song - you can't make gold out of rubbish by playing it live.

Yes you can. If you would've heard the shows everyone seems to be raving about and then post your comments you'd actually make sense. But you haven't, so your just forming your opinion upon the quality of the studio album, which leads me to the second point of my post, which is that none of all your replies have made sense so far. That's pretty amazing, for someone with over 100 posts.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Richie's guitar was defiantly live.

His amp was switched off. During the rehearsal, the miming of his parts was done quite leisurely LOL.

It was a live vocal to a backing track, no mics on the drums, and Hugh didn't even have an amp.

Not directing this at you, just generally, but there were some fans there last night who must think Richie is so god-like his playing transcends the need for amps! We had a woman practically screaming at us that they weren't miming when we were all stood right in front of them, watching them mime their guitar parts! LOL.

Would have been nice if they'd played live (like Hard-Fi ) but at the end of the day it was a TV show so no big deal.

I thought it was probably a backing track - but the solo's were definitely not, so either they recorded specific solo parts for appearing on TV shows, or he actually was live during the show.
